#WWWWednesday: 6 May 2026

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve finished 1 book and DNF another. Chris and I decided to DNF Lies We Sing to the Sea because it just wasn’t working for us. Backstory drama aside, the characters were getting on my nerves and by over 40% we still got so little. Glad I can take it off the TBR and make room for a new book on my shelf though!

The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley
After starting this a few weeks ago, I finally finished it and I have to say that I’m pretty disappointed. I’m not sure what to rate it yet, but I don’t think it’ll be above 3-stars. I seem to have missed what the author was trying to say or do with the story. I wished that the focus had stayed on the travelers from the past and how they adjust to the modern world cos I found them really interesting! I also found the romance didn’t work for me and actually made me feel a little ick. 🫠 Overall, I’m pretty bummed about this one but again, glad I can take it off the TBR and shelf!

Faithbreaker by Hannah Kaner
After DNF-ing our previous buddy read, Chris and I decided it was time to finish the Fallen Gods Trilogy. I’m excited and nervous for what’s to come. I’m currently at 16% and things are already quite intense and I’m keen to see what happens next.

I’ll be starting a buddy read with Becky for Time War. I’m excited but also admittedly very nervous about it, lol.

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!

  1. Honestly, Dnf-ing is great progress and can sometimes feel great to make new space! Sorry to hear The Ministry of time was disappointing, I don’t think that title has ever called my name and I’ve heard kind of mixed things about it. I at least hope you’re enjoying the Kaner title! I’m curious about The Correspondents even though it’s so outside of my comfort zone, I can’t wait to see what you think of it!

  2. I felt a bit meh about The Ministry of Time too. I sort of lost interest when thing started to complicated with character identities and stopped focusing on the time travellers themselves. I hope that you enjoy Faithbreaker.
