#WWWWednesday: 25 March 2026

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Despite having a 5-day weekend, which would technically give me lots of time to read, I ended up doing not nearly half as much reading as I wanted. This was due to visiting family and also gaming. I’m currently addicted to playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and it’s so hard to put down the game even though I do want to be reading. I wish I could do all things at once, but alas. 🤣 Since last Wednesday, I’ve finished 3 books!

Unclaimed (Turner #2) by Courtney Milan ★★★¾
I honestly didn’t think I’d enjoy Mark’s book so much but my goodness, the yearning was exquisite! Milan does yearning so freaking well. Mark and his chastity brought up some great discussions and I loved his chemistry with Jessica! Although I feel like the ending (after they left the country side) felt a bit too extended(?), I really enjoyed this one overall. I’m so curious about the last Turner brother’s book cos he’s by far the most mysterious! 👀

Godkiller (Fallen Gods #1) by Hannah Kaner ★★★★☆
I really enjoyed this buddy read with Chris and I’m so glad to have finally read this book. While it’s definitely a slower burn, and you gotta love the journey to really get into the story, I found the premise in this world of Wild and Fallen Gods very interesting! I loved the found family that develops between Elo, Kissen, Ina and Skedi—it was definitely hard won and wasn’t an ‘instant’ connection! The twist at the end means we obviously need to know what happens asap…

The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones ★★★★½
At this point I’m convinced that the only horror that I’d enjoy is the literary kind written by SGJ. Thankfully, this wound up being less paranormal horror and more slasher horror, and apparently, I can handle the latter heaps better than the former! This was such a fun buddy read with Becky 😍 We talked about how SGJ does an excellent job making the ‘mundane’ horrific and at times, it came across as very “final destination” as even the most order thing could kill you. 👀 It was great!

I’ve got three reads on at the minute and this has nothing at all to do with the books, but I love how nicely all the colours look beside each other on these covers! 😍

  • Sunbringer ⇢ 14% ⇢ Chris and I decided to continue reading this series cos we needed to know what happens next! Yet, despite being very into this book and eager to see what happens next, I have to admit I’m not making quick progress because I’m gaming too much! Agh, silly me for not leaving enough evening reading time to make headway on this! 🫣

  • A Drop of Corruption ⇢ 29% ⇢ Charlotte and I are continuing our buddy read of this series and we are loving it! Oh my gosh, it’s so good being back with Ana and Din, even if it means we’re solving gruesome gory murders. 🤣 Idk if it’s just us, but we think the banter has kicked up a notch here. I personally think Ana has the most fantastic lines that have me grinning like a loon and wanting to cackle in public (as it’s my travel-to-work read in the morning). It’s so good! 😍 Also, I’m doing an immersive read with this and the audiobook is fantastic—the voice actor does each character so well, it’s really amazing!

  • 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World⇢ 67% ⇢ Ah… I’m terrible. I haven’t made any progress with this. Not sure why I’ve put off finishing this considering how much I was loving it? It just made me really sad. But I’m defo going to finish this before March ends! ✨

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!
