#WWWWednesday: 18 March 2026

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

It’s been slow times for reading over here. I haven’t read nearly half as much as I planned to as I got into gaming this past weekend and just haven’t had the energy otherwise to process words quickly. Since last week I’ve only managed to finish 1 book. Luckily, it was one I thoroughly enjoyed!

The Voyage of the Basilisk (The Memoirs of Lady Trent #3) by Marie Brennan ★★★★½

This was a continued group read with Charlotte, Leslie, and Veros. We all loved this and I particularly found it a lot more engaging than the second book. I loved the sea adventures, the sea serpent/dragon studies, and the new characters we were introduced to. Jake and Suhail! 💜 Overall, a delight and with how abruptly this one ended, I’m eagerly anticipating the next installment.

  • 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World⇢ 67% ⇢ Sometimes I’m my own worst enemy, lol. Do you ever put off finishing a book because you don’t want to be done with it even though you know you want to read it? I want to finish this but I’m also reluctant to. Why am I like this? 😂

  • Unclaimed ⇢ 49% ⇢ This has been a slow night-time read for me. I was in a funky reading mood, wasn’t really wanting to continue my serious book at night, so I picked this up. Milan writes yearning so well! I’m enjoying Mark’s story so much and I actually thought I’d enjoy his the least. Little did I know! 👀

  • Godkiller ⇢ 62% ⇢ Started my next buddy read with Chris and although I’ve been reading slowly this time, I’m really enjoying this! It’s such a unique concept and we’re both really curious to see how the story will go. It just needs to pick up a little bit now 🤭

  • The Only Good Indians ⇢ I was technically supposed to start my buddy read with Becky today but it has been a stupidly hectic day so I haven’t had the time. That said, tomorrow marks the start of my long weekend, so I’m going to dive in! Plus, I think it’ll be good to start this during the day so I don’t get too scared, lol. 😂

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!

  2. Omg I do the same thing, Dini! Sometimes when I enjoy a book so much i would stall my reading in order to prolong it because I don’t want to get out of that world 😅 you are not alone!! Also 10 mins 38 secs has been sitting on my TBR for some time and I guess this is my reminder to pick it up! Great selection of books hope you enjoy all of them ♡

  3. I do the same thing as you said, putting off a book, or putting off continuing with a book because I do not want it to end. Not sure why I am sabotaging myself, I just don’t want to be done with that world, character or series.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Everyone in my Family is a Murderer but I still want to continue with the series. I am also curious by Threads that Bound, so I will keep an eye out for your thoughts.

I hope you have fun with all of these!
