We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Quotes From/About Books (Share book quotes you love, quotes about being a reader, etc.)
But I’m going rogue again today because I’m not great at keeping track of my quotes as I don’t collect them all in one place. I should probably do that 🤭 Anyway, since that’s not happening today, I’m going to continue my alphabet challenge. After hecking up and skipping M and N before getting straight to O, I’ve finally fixed my mistake and I’m now on track with P! As usual, we’re keeping it simple and looking at the “P” titles on my TBR and I’ll not be including those that start with articles (which surprisingly made this a lot tougher)!
Check out the other letters of the alphabet:
A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L | M | N | O

Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins
Parkland by Dave Cullen
Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez
Problematic Summer Romance by Ali Hazelwood
Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev

Portrait of a Thief by Grace D. Li
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
Permanent Record by Mary H.K. Choi
Pictures Us in the Light by Kelly Loy Gilbert

Have you read any of these titles or do you also still have them on your TBR? What are your favourite titles starting with the letter “P”?

I’m not good at keeping track of quotes, either. You’re not alone there.

I have loads of them highlighted in books but never put them all in one place. I really should do probably 🤭

Same! I also went rogue on this one haha glad I am not the only one! Pyranesi and Poison Study are on my TBR! 🙂

I was surprised by how many titles I had starting with P! 🤭 Thought it’d be a somewhat rare one.

Yep, I read the first chapter once and then I had to put it down because I was not in the right headspace for it. I was bawling so hard even in the first chapter!! I think by 3 pages in!! Haha, I can’t wait to properly check it out, hopefully this year.

I’ve read both Poison Study and Problematic Summer Romance! Poison Study has been a few years and I don’t remember much except that I didn’t continue the series, but Problematic Summer Romance was only last year and I remember absolutely loving it 🙂

I think I’ve seen more mixed things about Poison Study from more recent reviewers, but it has such a popular rep. I’m curious to see if I’ll enjoy it 🙂 Same for Hazelwood’s book although it’ll have to join the waiting list because I’ve got almost all her books on my TBR 😂 I’ve seen a lot of good things about it!

Yay I’ve read one of these for once – Poison Study. From what I remember I loved it too. Although its one I want to reread one day so that I can check out the novels that have been added to the series since I first read them. There are a few others here on my TBR too – Part Of Your World (I see so much love for the author) in particular. Ive also been meaning to read something by Mary H K Choi for ages too but I believe I have three potential titles to pick from 😂

I’ve seen mostly positive things about Poison Study so I’m excited to see if I’ll feel the same as everyone else. I’ve also seen so much praise about Abby Jimenez’s books and I can’t believe I still haven’t read a full-length novel from her by now. 🤭 I’m excited to check out at least one of her books this year. As for Choi’s books, I’ve only read one — Emergency Contact — and all these years later it’s still a favourite. I hope Permanent Record pans out the same way, lol.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I have to admit Im surprised you havent as you read way more romance than me 😂 I truly hope her books end up being worth the wait, and that Permanent Record lives up to Emergency Contact for you 🥰

I almost did this and I should have.. my post took SO long to do. lol I have had Piranesi on my TBR forever! Part of Your World was so good. Problematic Summer Romance is one that I struggled with!

Wait, why did I think you already read Piranesi!? Weren’t you the one who bought me a copy of the book back in the Book Depository days? 😂 Ooh, interesting you say that about Problematic Summer Romance—I’ve mostly seen positive things about it. Curious to know what didn’t work for you 👀

I think I bought it for you intending that we should buddy read it. HAHA! Oh my gosh.. those were the days! Book Depository. sad face. lol If I remember, I’ll DM you about PSR!

Pack up the Moon is still on my TBR shelf as well, Dini. I did read and love Part of My World and am going to add that Sonali Dev book to my shelf, it sounds really good.

I’m both intimidated and excited to read Pack Up the Moon—I’ve heard it’s incredibly emotional! I’ll have to make sure I pick the right mood era to read it, lol. I also hope you enjoy Sonali Dev’s book whenever you pick it up, Carla!

Great collection of books Dini! Like I’ve said before, I think you would enjoy reading Part of Your World (or any of Jimenez’s other books).

Thanks, Pam! You and plenty of others have told me that I’ll probably enjoy Jimenez’s books and from my experiences with her short stories, I have to agree. So I don’t know why I still haven’t read one of her full-length romances yet 😂 Maybe 2026 will be the year!

I started Permanent Record ages ago and I think I got about halfway through but it was frustrating me so I put it down and haven’t picked it back up since. I think I was expecting too much after loving Emergency Contact! 😅 I want to give it one more go to see if maybe it was just me back then and not the book, lol.

Definitely recommend Piranesi, and I’d like to re-read Poison Study at some point (in the distant mythical future when I have all the time in the world, LOL!).

I’ve seen many rave reviews for Piranesi. I think the hype just gets to me and I’m worried it’ll go over my head, haha. I do hope to finally pick it up this year though 😃

I’m also not particularly good at keeping track of quotes, although I’d like to be! I used the opportunity to catch up on last week’s topic that I missed instead (oops). Of the books you’ve got here I’ve read Piranesi and Poison Study (a long time ago), but I definitely recommend Piranesi.

I’ve got so many highlighted in books over the years, but I’ve never taken the time to jot them down in one place. It’s so difficult! 🫣 I’ve heard good things about Piranesi and I’m looking forward to giving it a try. I hope it doesn’t go over my head and that I enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to, lol.

I don’t think it is the kind of book to go over your head really, and it’s very atmospheric so I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. I personally gave it a fairly high 4 stars, so I don’t think you should go into expecting it to change your life forever (although for some people it’s definitely that good), but I wouldn’t be too worried!
