We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a: Books On My Winter 2025-2026 to-Read List

Can you believe we’re already down to the “last of” posts of the year? This’ll be the last possibility pile I’ll be creating for 2025 to trickle into 2026 and it blows my mind how quickly each year seems to fly by. I don’t know about you, but it feels like every year passes even faster than the last! With so much to complete before my final full week of work next week, I haven’t had much time for reading, and I don’t think I’ll be getting more time once I leave on holiday to Sri Lanka the week after next either. As I’ll be going there with friends, I know they’ll make me go out and do touristy things and be social—and I know I should but I honestly just want to sleep for 50 years, lol. 😂 But I digress! There are still books I’d love to read before the year is out and as the new year begins, so let’s take a look at some reading possibilities:

  10. Good Spirits was fun! I also still have not read A Witches Guide To Magical Innkeeping, despite it being one of my anticipated releases! I also need to read The Raven Scholar. I had it out from my library and read 200p and was really enjoying it but then it was due back and someone had requested it so I couldn’t renew it.

    • I’ve seen good things about Good Spirits 🙂 I didn’t *love* this author’s previous books but I’m hoping to feel differently about this, lol. I hope you enjoy Magical Innkeeping and Raven Scholar whenever you get to them! So bummed that you were really enjoying it and then had to return it to the library 🫣 I hope you can get back to it soon!

  11. Good Spirits and Raven Scholar are so good! I really want to get to Witches Guide to Magical Innkeeping if you want to buddy read that?! We can get in one more before the end of the year!! ❤

  14. Enjoy your holiday and time with your friends, Dini. Once you get away, you will perk right up, I’m sure. I am listening to Good Spirits right now, and so far I’m enjoying it. I hope you get to all these books and enjoy them all.

    • Thanks, Carla! I’m looking forward to the break and I know that even if I grumble, it’s always a fun time meeting up with friends when it’s something I so rarely get to do! I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying Good Spirits! I assume you’ve finished it by now and I hope you enjoyed it all the way through 🙂

  21. Its crazy how close to the end of the year we are!! I hope you have an incredible time in Sri Lanka and have lots of fun with your friends whilst there 🥰

    Good Spirits should be my next read (I’m hoping to pick it up sometime this weekend, if I make enough of a dent catch up wise). And I doubt you’ll be surprised to hear that I’d recommend picking up The Raven Scholar for sure 😂 Magical Inn Keeping sounds like a great cosy read for the holiday season. I’ll have to look up the King title too as I think its new to me (although knowing me I’ll go to add it to my TBR only to realise its already there 😂)

    I hope you love any of these titles that you get to. And that if youre too busy to read whilst away that you have an incredible time with your friends 🥰🥰

    • It is so crazy how it’s basically the end of the year now. Time has flown so quickly! 🫣

      I hope you enjoy Good Spirits when you start it! I’ve heard a lot of great things about it so that does make me want to pick it up sooner than later. I do want to start Raven Scholar but also, with how fickle my reading mood is at the moment, I’m scared to do it because I want to love it and I don’t want to risk not enjoying it cos of my mood, y’know? Haha 😂 I’ll be picking up Magical Innkeeping this week and since I loved the first one, I hope to feel the same about this one.

      • It truly has. And now we’re in 2026 😳 sorry for the delayed reply, I’ve been busy with Christmas, trying to get my reviews up to date on Goodreads & getting my start of year posts ready to go.

        I loved it thank you. Its the only book I managed to read recently but I loved the odd afterlife system and thought the romance was divine. I hope you enjoy it if you try it.

        I totally understand. I used to avoid my preorders out of a constant fear of being let down so I get it. I really hope you feel in the mood for it soon. Ooh I hope it went well then.

  22. Why did I think you’d already read The Raven Scholar? I do think you’d love that one, and obviously Empire of Shadows which I adored lol. I hope you have a fab time in Sri Lanka and manage to do some touristy things whilst also chilling out lol.

    • Haha, this happens to me all the time with you as well. I think you’ve read a book when you haven’t and I don’t know why 😂 I’ve heard so many good things about it and based on what I’ve heard, I feel like I’m defo gonna love it.
