This week’s topic is:

Prompts: Do you read holiday/winter-themed reads? Do you have any on your TBR this December? What have been favorites from past years? Are there any festive books you like to re-read during the holidays?

Do you read holiday/winter-themed reads?

Despite living in the tropics, I do often find myself swept up in seasonal changes that I see my book friends experiencing in other parts of the world. This includes holiday/winter-themed reads because somehow, reading books with snow on the cover or set during the winter or the holidays feels so much better when read during the holiday season! Don’t you think? Of course, you can read these books anytime you want, but I do try to save the Christmas/snow-filled reads for this time of the year (Dec/Jan)!

Do you have any on your TBR this December?

Every year I say that I’m going to read more holiday/winter-themed reads and every year, the pile grows ever larger and I never get around to reading as many as I want 😂 So of course, I have some on my TBR this December! This is a mix of oldies I’ve been meaning to get to and newer titles that’ve come on my radar this year.

What have been favourites from past years? Are there any festive books you like to re-read during the holidays?

I already don’t re-read books very often so I actually don’t recall re-reading any holiday/winter-themed reads before! In the past I have read and really enjoyed these ones though:

Emma @ Pages of Emma
Yolanda @ Past Midnight
Kristina @ Books and Daschunds
Gem @ Gem’s Book Talk
Abyssal Librarian
Raji @ Worlds Unlike Our Own

If I’ve missed your post this week, don’t hesitate to let me know in the comments, and I’ll add you to this week’s list of community posts ASAP!

Do you read festive/holiday/winter-themed books? What are some of your favourites and which ones are on your TBR this year?

  1. One day, I wish to experience christmas and my birthday in the summer part of the world.. that would be insane!! Ofcourse as a canadian they’re tied with snow, or atleast frigid cold! The decorations always looks so wierd on grass! 😅 (i saw only one hallmark movie without snow)

    • Haha, I’m sure it would probably feel very off for you! 😂 It’s like how people from Northern Hemisphere countries feel when they come to Southern Hemisphere countries where it’s summer right now (Australia, South Africa) and they spend Christmas in the heat, haha. I’ve experienced both and I much prefer the cold climates for sure 😜
