We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a: Freebie
For this freebie I’m going back to my alphabet challenge and I recently realised, that I somehow skipped over two letters! 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t know how my brain looked at the letter “L” and thought “O” is next or how I only noticed it after seeing someone else’s alphabet post, but here we are! 😂
So today, I’m going to be looking at the “M” books on my shelf, with a mix of read and unread picks!
Check out the other letters of the alphabet: A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L | M | N | O

Read

Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Malice by John Gwynne
Masquerade by O.O. Sangoyomi
More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera
My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite

Unread

Make a Scene by Mimi Grace
Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Man Tiger by Eka Kurniawan
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Miracle Creek by Angie Kim

Have you read any of these titles or are any of them on your TBR? What books starting with the letter “M” would make your list?

The alphabet mistake is definitely something I would do too! 😅😂 Loved Mexican Gothic though. It’s my favourite I’ve read of hers.

Haha, yeah, I don’t know how on earth I managed to do that 😂 I’m excited to hear that Mexican Gothic is your fave! I can’t wait to check it out 🙂

I have learned the title link goes to goodreads and not a review xD general thoughts on it?

Oh! Did I not have my review on Goodreads? Here’s my review: https://dinipandareads.com/2025/05/22/book-review-masquerade-by-o-o-sangoyomi/ but basically, I found it wonderfully surprising and thought it was a great debut. It’s definitely more historical than fantasy (that aspect is quite minimal) but it’s great if you morally gray MCs and stories of female rage!

Oh good thank you! It went to the book page, maybe I missed if it shows your review there too – their redesign from a few years ago is not one I like

Malice and Miracle Creek were good reads! I’m excited to see you get to the harder letters 😂

I’ve got so many books on my Goodreads shelf, I hope I’ll have more options than I think, although I’ve been surprised that certain letters had fewer options than I expected! Lol

Great job! I hope you enjoy reading the ones you haven’t had the chance to yet. As for me, the first book that came to mind was Maame by Jessica George.

This reminds me that Malice is one that we need to re-read and finish the series!! Maybe next year??

Haha, yep! That’s definitely one that I want to read sooner than later and I’m down to do it next year! I think at this point though I need to re-read Malice before continuing with the series cos I can’t remember a thing! 😂

Everytime I see Masquerade, it reminds me that I still haven’t read it. Thanks for another reminder, Dini.

I’ve read fewer than I have on my TBR (which seems to be the case for all books 🤭)!

I liked Mexican Gothic a lot! I’m a horror wimp so I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but I did! The gothic vibes were so good.

Oh, that’s great! I’m a wimp and that’s one of the reasons why I’ve been putting it off so i’m glad to hear you were able to enjoy it 🙂

My sister: The Serial Killer has been on and off my TBR several times. Hmm. Guess I am still up in the air about it.

It was an interesting read. I think I would appreciate it more now than I did when I read it back in 2018, but it was definitely different to anything I’d read at that point, lol

The Kate Daniels series certainly gives you a lot of ‘M’ options to work with!

Looks like you’ve reached halftime. Always fun to see the books, even though – as usual – I haven’t read any of them.
