#WWWWednesday: 19 November 2025

Leslie and I are planning a group read for Dungeon Crawler Carl starting in January 2026! Find more details on Leslie’s page or at the end of this post!

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Since last week I managed to finish 2 books and I’m happy to say that I loved both!

The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah, You, With A View by Jessica Joyce

The Stardust Thief (The Sandsea Trilogy #1) by Chelsea Abdullah ★★★★½
I had such a fab time reading this! I loved the world-building, how we get stories within the story, the action-packed plot, and of course, the characters. I really enjoyed folllowing Loulie, Mazen, and Aisha, and found their storylines intriguing. Of the three, my favourite was probably Mazen (I’m a sucker for a soft-hearted Prince) and I can’t wait to see where his arc goes… I feel like big changes are in store for him in book two, especially after that ending! 👀

You, With A View by Jessica Joyce ★★★★★
I buddy read this with Leslie and I’m so happy to say we both loved it! I loved this debut and I can’t wait to read more by Joyce. You can tell these characters were crafted with so much heart, and I loved their connection. This story got me emotional at times, and I found Noelle and Theo to be very relatable. They had such amazing chemistry—holy granola, the tension was taut and their connection so electric! ⚡️ I loved their slow-burn and it made the moment they got together that much hotter. 🥵 If you enjoy messy characters, (mostly) healthy communication, strong family bonds, a roadtrip prompting self-re-discovery, and a delightful tension-filled romance, don’t miss this!

I’ve got a few reads on at the minute. My brain is pulling me in all sorts of directions this month and while part of me wants to read more NF for Non-Fiction November, I’m also keen on more fiction and fantasy! 🫣 I’m trying to limit myself to one fiction for now, but let’s see how things go, lol.

  • Remarkably Bright Creatures21% ⇢ Something about this called to me the other day so I picked it up this morning and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it! It’s well-written and compulsively readable. I kinda love Marcellus? 🥹 I can’t wait to see how all the storylines come together…
  • The Internet of Garbage52% ⇢ I’m reading this for a work event that I have coming up about digital violence. Though it was first published in 2015, I think what Jeong has relevance (to a point) despite how rapidly tech, and the internet specifically, have evolved. I think this gives a solid background to understanding online harassment, and laws and regulations. I thought I’d get through it faster (what with it only being 93 pages) but some of the content has tripped me up… It’s not the lightest read! 😅
  • The Anthropocene Reviewed13% ⇢ I chose to go the immersive route for this book and I’ve got the physical + audio, but I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it at the moment? Of course, I love Green’s writing and his narration feels like he’s speaking to you 1-1 as a friend. There have been times I’ve nodded along and though “yes, this makes so much sense, I fully agree!” but mostly, I’ve not really connected with what he’s talking about.

I’m hoping to read a few more books for my work event, but otherwise, I’m mostly going with my mood! I do want to try and get in at least two more non-fiction titles though…

Join our big group read for Dungeon Crawler Carl in January 2026!

Even before we finished the seventh book in September, we already knew we wanted to do a bigger re-read of the series in the lead up to the eighth book coming out in 2026! We also figured this would be really fun reading in a bigger group, so that’s what we’re doing! We’ll start in January and read roughly 1 book per month to prepare for the release of the next book later in the year! We’re hosting it on Instagram so leave a comment below or message me (@dinipandareads) or Leslie (@booksarethenewblack11) over there if you’d like to join.
🧨 GET EXCITED, CRAWLERS! 🧨

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!

    • Thanks Becky! I’m so glad I finally picked it up. I’m thinking about picking up the next book soon because I want to read it while my memory is still as fresh as it gets, lol. But then the dilemma is… How long will I have to wait for the next book to come out and will my memory of the books hold on until then?! Haha

    • Aah, excited to hear that! I can already feel at the end of book one that Mazen is being set up for some considerable change and I can’t wait to read his arc 🙂 I just finished Remarkably Bright Creatures tonight and ah, shed a tear or two. It was a really fantastic read and I can see why it’s so well loved!
