#TopTenTuesday: Satisfying Book Series

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Satisfying Book Series (Maybe all the books were amazing or there wasn’t any second book syndrome or the final book wrapped everything up soooo perfectly.)

So, what book series have I read? 😅 Obviously, I’ve forgotten literally everything! But no, I’m not going to overthink this week’s prompt because I’m tired. So, here are ten series that I’ve loved and will never stop talking about. It’s likely that if you’ve been on my page before, this won’t be the first time you see me mention these books and for good reason too!

The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
The Brown Sisters by Talia Hibbert
Between Earth and Sky by Rebecca Roanhorse
Hidden Legacy by Ilona Andrews

Villains by V.E. Schwab
Song of the Last Kingdom by Amelie Wen Zhao
Emily Wilde by Heather Fawcett
The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
The Blood of the Stars by Elizabeth Lim

Have you read any of these books, and did you love them, or are they still on your TBR?

  1. My autumn goal is to read All Systems Red. I loved the TV show based on it and need to see what the source material is like. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by earlier.

    • I feel like The Blood of the Stars series doesn’t get nearly enough love! I’ve also really enjoyed everything Lim has written so far, although I need to catch up on her latest release! I hope you enjoy the rest of the Murderbot Diaries books that are out 🙂 I’m so glad that series isn’t over, lol.

    • DCC is such an amazing series! It’s so wild and completely out there, especially at the start, but it gets so much deeper as the series goes. Would 100% recommend if you love LitRPG 😍 I hope you also enjoy the rest of the Emily Wilde series!

  2. I am definitely adding Emily Wilde to my TBR and hope to get on it right away. I’m also tempted by the VE Schwab series. I’ve seen it around for several years and haven’t taken the time to find out what it is about. Thanks for the heads-up!

  3. Murderbot!!! Oh my gosh, I forgot about that one too, even if it’s not finished. I really need to start Black Sun! I might make that part of a challenge next year. Great list, Dini!!

  4. The Murderbot Diaries is so so good! I love it, too. I think at this point, it might have surpassed The Lord of the Rings for the series I’ve reread the most times.

(I didn’t include it on my list this week, but only because it’s not a “finished” series yet and I was trying to stick to series that the author had completed.)

    • Ooh, that’s amazing! I actually haven’t re-read the series yet but I feel like I should before the next one comes out. I’m very tempted to re-read with the audiobooks because I’ve heard that they’re amazing!

And yeah, I didn’t even think about focusing on series that have already finished, although in hindsight I probably should’ve. My brain was just so tired I just chucked it all on there without thought 🤣

      • The audiobooks narrated by Kevin R. Free are really good!

I don’t blame you for adding books that haven’t finished. I really wanted to, but was trying to make the post harder for myself, and then realized I’ve actually finished a lot more series than I thought I had!

  5. I had forgotten about Vicious! Although I have not enjoyed Schwab’s writing in recent years or when I’ve tried to re-read A Darker Shade of Magic so it might be best left as a fond memory.

    • Ah, I’m sorry to hear that! I re-read ADSOM series for the first time last year and I’m happy that I still ended up loving it just as much. But I agree, sometimes the fondness and happy memories are best left as just that 🙂

  6. I love “here are ten series I’ve loved and will never stop talking about.” That’s so real.

And yay for Emily Wilde and Murderbot! (What an odd sentence to say!) 🙂
