#TopTenTuesday: Autumn 2025 Possibility Pile

Weโ€™re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Books on My Fall 2025 to-Read List

I can’t believe it’s already time to share this list. Where has the rest of the year gone?! As a mood reader, I’m terrible with TBRs, so as always, it’s the possibility pile for me. For this pile, I’m going for a mix of darker spookies, cosy magical, and autumnal romance vibes. I think these ten are also a good mix of new releases and older TBR picks that have been on multiple possibility piles over the years, lol. Maybe 2025 will be the time for them! โœจ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’œ

Someone You Can Build A Nest In by John Wiswell
The Thrashers by Julie Soto
A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna
The Undermining of Twyla and Frank by Megan Bannen
If It Makes You Happy by Julie Olivia

Fire Keeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
The Luminaries by Susan Dennard
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley
The Five by Hallie Rubenhold

Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR?

  1. Fire Keeper’s Daughter is such a great read. I remember really loving that one. If It Makes You Happy and The Ministry of Time are also on my TBR… haha. If you want to BR those! I hope you enjoy all of the ones you get to. Happy Fall, Dini!!

  2. The cover of If It Makes You Happy screams autumn and I spy a collie ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I really want to try that Megan Bannen series sometime and think A Witchโ€™s Guide To Magical Innkeeping sounds fantastic. I meant to read The Firekeeperโ€™s Daughter back when it came out but ended up returning my library copy unread ๐Ÿ™ˆ I have my eye on a lot of these titles and hope you enjoy all of these. I love the mix of genres too ๐Ÿฅฐ

    • Omg, I know! I wanted to read the book based on the cover (and title!) alone ๐Ÿ˜ It definitely screams massive autumn vibes and I love it! I’ve only read the first book in Bannen’s series but it emotionally gutted meโ€”I did not expect to sob the way I did, haha. But you know I am an emotional reader ๐Ÿคฃ I’m excited to read Firekeeper’s Daughter because I’ve heard good things. If you ever end up checking it out again, I hope you enjoy it and all the other titles that are on your TBR from this list ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy reading! ๐Ÿ‚

      • I can’t wait to hear whether it fits them because if the story inside is as beautiful as the cover you’re in for a treat ๐Ÿ˜ I appreciate the heads up to be prepared then ๐Ÿ˜‚ and hope the others end up being just as impactful. I’ve heard good things about it too. Thank you ๐Ÿฅฐ

  3. Jack the Ripper is a fascinating and horrifying case, so The Five sounds interesting. Hope you enjoy all on your Fall TBR!

  4. Iโ€™ve been waiting for my hold of Someone You Can Build a Nest In to come from the library so I hope to read that soon ish too but the line is so long! I heard about If It Makes You Happy the other day and I think I want to try it even if I usually avoid contemporary romances. The fact that itโ€™s 90s is very appealing to me though lol. A Monster Call and The Five also seem super intriguing. Awesome list and I hope you enjoy them all! My TTT this week.

  5. The Ministry of Time! I loved that book SO much, and tbh, I might just had to give it a re-read now I’ve seen it here lol. I also loved The Luminaries, The Undermining of Twyla and Frank and A Witch’s Guide to Magical Inkeeping (why did I think you’d already read these?) I also have Fire Keepers Daughter on my TBR and have heard lots of good things about it, so I hope you enjoy it.

  6. The only one I’ve read is the Firekeeper’s Daughter, and I did enjoy it. If It Makes You Happy has such and autumn cover, I will have to think about adding it to my list, Dini.
