Happy Monday, book pandas! I’m back with a tag today and it’s the Six in Six Book Tag! I’ve had this on my radar for a while after spotting it on Leyre @ Read You Leyre‘s page. I found it unique because it’s kind of like a “choose your own adventure” book tag but in this case, it’s “choose your own prompts from a list that the original creator has made or create your own”. Confused? I hope not! 🤣
Let’s get right to the details for this tag:

This tag was originally created by The Book Jotter. Here’s what Jo has to say about it:
The idea being that as the end of June approaches and we are then halfway through the year, let us share the books we have read in those first 6 months. In fact let’s share 6 books in 6 categories, or if time is of the essence then simply share just 6 books. Whatever combination works for you as long as it involves 6 books. Of course the same book can obviously feature in more than one category.
Check out the full list of categories on Jo’s page or create a category of your own choosing!

Six new to me authors (in 2025)

Six authors I’m looking forward to reading more of…

Six books I was disappointed with

Six books I read on my Kindle and then bought physical copies of…

Six book covers I love (in 2025)

Six books recently added to my wish list

That’s it for the Six in Six book tag! This was so much fun and I loved that we could choose the prompts ourselves. Not tagging anyone but feel free to link back if you do it so I can check out the prompts you chose and your answers!

Lots of stunning covers!

I really like the flexibility of this tag because it can be adapted depending on what you’ve read each year, very cool! I may want to do this soon 🙂 I also want to read more from P. Djèli Clark. I had taken Scavenge the Stars off my tbr so the fact that you weren’t happy with it makes me glad I did that lol.

Yes, the flexibility of this tag is what makes it so fun and it’s like you can keep doing it every year with different questions as well! I saw you recently did it 😍 Scavenge the Stars was so disappointing so good move on taking it off your TBR! I don’t think you will regret not reading it… 👀

I love this tag and have had a half finished post sitting in my drafts since the end of June. Seeing yours might have inspired me to actually finish it. I really like the categories that you’ve chosen.

Oooh love the idea for this tag! I really need to get around to reading Atmosphere, and if you’re looking for more Clark, he’s written two novellas set in the same universe as A Master of Djinn and I really enjoyed them both 🙂

Oh wow what a fun tag, I can’t believe how many different options there are to pick from prompt wise. Definitely going to have to try this one sometime.
It looks like you’ve discovered some great authors and I hope you get to read more by the ones you’ve highlighted soon too. I can’t believe I still haven’t tried anything by Rachel Gillig or Taylor Jenkins Reid 🙈 I knew about most of your disappointment but not A Language Of Dragons, its a shame it didnt work for you. Daughter Of Smoke And Bone is so good 😍 I especially love the covers for Forgery Of Fate
And Floating World. Have you seen the have you seen the Fairyloot edition for the latter? Those gold foiled endpages keep calling to me 😂
