We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Books With Occupations in the Title (Submitted by Hopewell’s Public Library of Life)
This was a fun topic! I managed to find ten titles, but it took a while, and I had a surprisingly difficult time finding a range of occupations! I’ve only read three of these (marked with a *), and the others are still on my TBR. I can’t wait to see what other people have posted today because I think I’m going to be surprised, and realise I probably had a lot more options on my list than I thought! 😂

Maid for Each Other by Lynn Painter
The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson
A Governess Should Never… Tempt A Prizefighter by Emily Windsor
The Nanny by Lana Ferguson
Copper Script by KJ Charles

Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
The Geographer’s Map to Romance by India Holton
The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang
The Player in New Zealand by Liz Alden
The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

Did you find a wide variety of occupations in your book titles? Have you read any of these, or are they also on your TBR?

I had some odd occupations, at least two kings, a spy and a pirate in my list.
Here’s a link:

Ooh, spy and pirate! I feel like I’d have those two on my shelves somewhere but nothing popped up. I was thinking about royalty titles and whether they’d be considered occupations-I think I should’ve counted them 🤭

Lana’s and Lynn’s look super fun! Both titles I may need to add to my TBR. 🙂 Thanks a bunch for visiting my list today.

I’ve had The Nanny on my TBR for ages now but I did hear a lot of good things about it when it first came out. Lynn’s book is a newer release and I read a review recently that made me want to immediately add it to my TBR (which I clearly did, lol)! 😆
I hope you enjoy the books if you ever get around to reading them!

Great list! I’ve seen The Prince and The Dressmaker around a lot this week. It was such a fun book!

Yeah, I’ve seen it mentioned on quite a few lists as well! I totally forgot about it until this week’s prompt (it’s been on my TBR for so long) so it’s a nice reminder, haha.

Well, I hope you enjoy it when you read it! I did when I read it, though it was long enough ago now that I don’t remember details. Just that it was fun.

Great list Dini. You had a few different ones from any that I’ve seen this morning.

This definitely wasn’t an easy topic! I didn’t think about them, but the India Holton books indeed make a great pick!

Yeah, I was so glad I came across this one on my Kindle shelf as I was manually browsing for titles, otherwise I wouldn’t have remembered 🤣

This was harder than I expected! Your list looks like a lot of fun, and I’m intrigued by the covers. I need to read something by Lynn Painter.

I also have yet to read something by Lynn Painter but I read a review recently for this one and it made me want to immediately add it to my TBR! I’ve heard great things about her romances though.

I also featured the Painter book. I had quite a few Maid books on my shelf. I read The Nanny but didn’t think of that one

Ooh I can’t wait to read a few of these. Apprentice To The Villian was one I wasn’t sure of initially but having adored a short story by the author earlier this year I can’t wait to check it out now. I love the sound of the India Holto series and I recently added Maid For Each Other to my TBR.
I hope you enjoy all the TBR titles whenever you get to them. Maybe you should do a part two after checking peoples lists out of titles you missed based on what you said in your introduction? It could be fun 😂

Omg! You know what? I really love this idea that you’ve proposed! I think I could definitely make a new list of all the titles (or even occupations) that I have on my TBR after seeing other peoples lists. I’m noting this down for another “gone rogue” TTT moment! Thanks for the inspo, Charlotte! 💜
I really enjoyed the Apprentice book but I know it has caused a lot of mixed opinions in the bookish community, haha. I think the people who didn’t enjoy it intensely dislike this book and how popular it is. 🤣 It’s quite silly and doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously, which is why I enjoyed it. I hope that you will be able to enjoy it as well whenever you get to it!

Ooh I look forward to seeing it one day then 😊
Oh wow really? I’ve mostly seen positive things admittedly so hearing that some people have an intense level of dislike for it is troubling. It was the silliness that kind of left me worried initially but I’m hoping that if I go into it aware of that factor it’ll work for me as I really loved the short story I tried by the author. I’ll have to let you know how it goes.

Good job, Dini. I almost did maid but I had so many, so I opted for the most obscure occupations I found.
Thanks for visiting my list.

I loved the first book as well! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to dive into this one because his character was quite the grumpasaurus when we meet him in the first book 🤭 I hope we both love it!

I have the Assistant to the Villain on my list this week. I actually finished the third book in the series recently, and can’t wait to read the next one. There has to be a next one, right?
