We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Books with Honorifics in the Title (“…an honorific is a form of address conveying esteem, courtesy or respect. These can be titles prefixing a person’s name, e.g.: Mr., Mrs., Miss, Ms., Mx., Sir, Dame, Dr., Cllr, Lady, or Lord, or other titles or positions that can appear as a form of address without the person’s name, as in Mr. President, General, Captain, Father, Doctor, or Earl.” For more info, click here.) (Submitted by Joanne @ Portobello Book Blog)
I can’t lie—I thought that, especially with all the historical romances I read, I’d be rolling in all the options this week, but the reality is I don’t have as many as I thought! 🤭 This is going to be as varied a list as I can make it in terms of honorifics and genres, so with that, let’s get to the list (a mix of read and unread titles)!

Never Say Never to An Earl by Grace Callaway
Lady‘s Knight by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
To Sir, With Love by Lauren Layne
A Lady‘s Guide to Fortune-Hunting by Sophie Irwin
The Duke Gets Desperate by Diana Quincy

The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare
How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Django Wexler
The Daughter of Doctor Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
A Man for Mrs. Claus by Rebekah Weatherspoon

Have you read any of these or are they also on your TBR? Did you find it easy to find titles with honorifics on your shelves?

yess lady’s knight is high on my tbr! i’m also really interested in the daughter of doctor moreau and how to become the dark lord & die trying as welll

I honestly haven’t heard of any of these! I had a really hard time with this topic so I actually switched mine up a bit.

Hehe, I guess these aren’t really what most would consider mainstream titles! 🤭

I really wasn’t expecting this week’s to be as tricky as it was either! 😂 You found good options though, and I really liked Lady‘s Knight.

5 Dark Prince by Christine Feehan

Nice choices! I’ve really enjoyed the KJ Charles books I’ve picked up, but they’ve a huge back catalogue and I’ve barely made a dent! Both The Magpie Lord and Rat Catchers Daughters are ones I have’t got to yet. Did you have a favourite?

Hard to choose my favourite KJ Charles. Bit like deciding a favourite child. Lol
The Magpie Lord was a very early, paranormal book. Part of a series

It was my suggestion for the topic this week and I’m loving all these choices!
I’ve seen Mr Penumbra on several lists – must check that one out.

Great choice of topic! 😍 It’s been years since I’ve read Mr Penumbra but I still remember how enjoyable it was. I’m a fan of this author’s work! I hope you love it if you give it a try 🙂

I also thought it would be easier to make my list, Dini. I have Mr. Penumbra on my TBR, so thanks for that reminder. I like your varied list of genres.

I’m honestly very surprised by how tough it was to find titles for this topic, Carla! I hope you enjoy Mr Penumbra if/when you pick it up! 😍

I read Mr Penumbra’s 24 Hour bookstore just this year and didn’t think of it!

I also assumed that you’d have a ton of options to pick from this week. 😂

I’m still surprised I didn’t have more varied options 😂

I definitely thought I’d also have more titles, but it was actually not as many as I thought. I do have Lady’s Knight and The Daughter of Doctor Moreau on my TBR.

Glad to know it wasn’t just me who thought I’d have more picks than I actually did! 🤭 I hope you enjoy Lady’s Knight and Doctor Moreau whenever you get to them!

Ive got Lady’s Knight on my TBR but apparently haven’t seen the cover before, I really like it 😍 I’m also incredibly curious about the Daughter Of Doctor Moreau and recently added the Sophie Irwin book to my TBR. I don’t know if I have many honorifics in my read list or not. Another list centered on ‘Mrs’ made me check that particular option and I found none of those so I kind of doubt it though 😂🙈

I do like the cover for Lady’s Knight a lot! I hope that the story inside will be just as fun as the cover looks 😍 I wasn’t sure what to expect with Irwin’s book but I ended up loving it so much! It really gave me classic Austen vibes and I gobbled it right up! 😊 I hope you love it too, Charlotte!
Honestly, I was surprised by few options I had for this week’s prompt considering all the historical romances I read with lords and dukes and the lot! I guess that means I just gotta read more of them, haha. 🤣

Here’s hoping 🤞 I’ll watch out for your thoughts on it. Aww yay that’s wonderful, not an easy vibe to do justice to either I’d imagine. Thank you 🥰
Always a good way of looking at it – or anything situation – to simply read more 😂

I haven’t read any of these yet, but I have three of them on my list (of TBR books) this week! Great list — though I agree, I thought there would be more options among my historical fantasy / romance books.

I’m still surprised by my limited options but I guess that just means I gotta read more historicals and I’m not mad about that at all, haha! 🤭

This was a hard one for me, but now, looking at everyone’s lists, I realize it probably shouldn’t have been as hard as I made it. xD I still need to read How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying (and its sequel now, too). I’ve heard it’s really good!

Haha, I had grand plans to overthink until I realised that this was going to be harder than I anticipated! 🤭 I hope you enjoy How to Become the Dark Lord! I’ve heard good things about it too and I’m curious about the humour. I hope we both end up loving it!

This prompt was a little harder than I thought it would be, too, but I was definitely overthinking it! Ha ha.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Haha, I know! Not a lot of covers make me blush but this one definitely does! 🤣 It’s been ages since I’ve read a Layne book but I’ve got a few on my TBR that I need to get to. Making this list made me feel like re-reading this one though!
