#TopTenTuesday: Let’s Talk About ‘H’

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Freebie/Throwback (Come up with a topic you’d like to do or go back and do an old topic you missed or just want to do again!)

Since this week is a freebie, I’ve decided to just continue with the alphabet challenge! We’ve now come up to letter ‘H’ and I decided to spotlight some of my highest rated reads (no lower than 4 obviously)!

Check out the other letters of the alphabet: A | B | C | D | E | F | G

Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert
Hollow by Shannon Watters & Branden Boyer-White, Berenice Nell (Illustrator)
How to Walk Away by Katherine Center
Heartbreak Symphony by Laekan Zea Kemp

HIM by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Heartless by Elsie Silver
Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxane Gay
The Hand of the Sun by J.T. Greathouse
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

Have you read any of these ‘H’ titles or are they on your TBR? If you’ve read them, did you love them too?

    • I haven’t read the latest volume but I also haven’t continued watching the show past S1 (I’m just terrible at watching things, lol), but I’m so glad to hear that they’ve stuck closely with the story. 💜 It doesn’t need changing to be more amazing because it hits the way it is and means so much to so many readers!

    • I haven’t fully caught up on the Heartstopper volumes but I also only watched S1 of the show. It’s not that I didn’t love it—I did, so much!—I’m just terrible at watching things, haha. They also hold a very special place in my heart 🙂

  1. Ooh I’ve read a few of these. I loved Heartstopper and The Hate U Give. Him was one of the better hockey romances I think I’ve read…. I’ve also read Heartless and it was…..fine? I do want to read Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute as well.

    • I was very pleasantly surprised by HIM. I think it was my first m/m sports romance and it was obviously very erotic but also so emotionally charged and that just hit me so hard in the feels, haha. It’s funny because I know so many people enjoyed Heartless less than Flawless but I found the opposite for me. I hope you enjoy Highly Suspicious 🙂 It’s hilarious and adorable!

  2. I haven’t read any of these 🙈 although I did really enjoy the adaptation of THUG and want to read the book one day. Instagram has 100% convinced me to check out that Elsie Silver series too. I’ve never been sure of Heartstopper. I know it’s majorly popular but I’ve never been sure about graphic novels and want to try something else by the author first. Maybe if that, and a graphic novel linked to a world I know, goes well I’ll cave and check it out eventually though. I’m also going to have to look up The Hand Of The Sun King. Great list as always 🥰

    • Ooh… If there’s one graphic novel that you ever check out, please let it be Heartstopper! It’s just… So good! I have no words for how much the story and characters mean to me. They’re precious! 💜 It’s kind of funny because I find I’ve connected more to Oseman’s graphic novel than to her novels. But if I’m not wrong, all her books are set in the same interconnected Heartstopper world.

I still haven’t checked out the THUG adaptation but I loved the book too much I was scared to watch it, haha. Maybe one day! I also hope you enjoy Silver’s books and Sun King!

      • Wow sounds like an all time favourite for sure. I’m glad you loved it so much 🥰 I’m guessing you like the adaptation too based on all of that? And I honestly had no idea they were all set in the same world so thanks for the heads up.

Aww I totally get that. Sometimes adaptations can be intimidating if you’re worried a favourite won’t be done justice. Thank you, turns out the Sun King one was already on my TBR 🙈
