Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [283]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I think I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday trying to finish The Library of the Unwritten by A. J. Hackwith. I’m just over halfway through now (56%) and I’m still really enjoying it. When my brain let’s it, it’s providing a great distraction from reality, and as you’ll read below, I really need that right now.

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

The majority of this week was going well—it was my birthday on Monday and it was the same old quiet affair—until Friday morning when my senior dog got into a severe accident involving a car. He required emergency surgery and it has been an overall incredibly traumatizing experience, to say the least? I’m powering through mindless reads so I don’t have to think about the situation but there’s much happening throughout the day including clinic visits and being in constant communication to monitor his progress and approve medications to help him during this critical post-op period. He’s 15 and I’m terrified. I also don’t want him to suffer more than he already has. It’s a lot. I can’t believe it only happened on Friday because it feels almost like two lifetimes have passed since then and I don’t know if I’m processing it well or at all or what (actually, I think all of it just really hit me as I was writing this paragraph help lol)? 🙃 I just feel very helpless and very sad… and I really hope he will be okay. I’m trying to remain positive but my brain is just in overdrive.

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

  1. I’m so sorry to hear what happened Dini. I’m sending you all of my love and well wishes and if you ever need someone to vent to, know you can contact me, okay? Whenever I’m in hard situations I always benefit from leaning on my people and remembering that I’m not alone, so just remember that. You are not alone 💜💜

  2. Oh no, I hope your dog will be okay! It’s so hard when a beloved furry friend is in pain, but I hope he recovers well and soon.
