I’m spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed with A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers. This is the second book in the Wayfarers series and I’m buddy reading it with Leslie. I’m quite behind as I have been incredibly unproductive this weekend! 🫣

It was a very busy and productive week at the office as well as at home on my games 😂 I’ve been a bit obsessed with Dave the Diver and I look forward to every evening when I get home from work and I get to play it for a while. I admit that I’ve let it take over my life a little bit these days which means I’ve let other things fall to the wayside, but I’m enjoying the game too much to really care! 🫣 I don’t really have anything to update really—life is as it has been and there’s nothing new happening.

As I mentioned, gaming has really taken over my brain recently and the progress I’ve made on several reads has been slow, except for the dark romance reads that I ended up bingeing because that’s about all my brain could handle post-gaming in the middle of the night/early hours of the morning (thanks, insomnia). I hope that I can get a little back on track in the week ahead but let’s see… I know myself too well to make any promises! 🫣

It’s a bit stressful and makes me face my fear of the deep blue ocean BUT also incredibly fun, haha. I’m loving it a lot!

Sometimes gaming is a great way to escape – I would game if I had my own Nintendo Switch (I did, but my daughter took it lol) – so sometimes I still grind for her on Animal Crossing. She has a big loan to pay down 😅. Actually that sounds like something I might just do today instead of read. Hope you have a great week Dini!

Haha, gotta get those big loans on AC paid! 😂 I started a new game last year and then I gave up cos I was earning too slowly and kept missing too many days, haha! If you got around to gaming, I hope it was nice and relaxing. Have a great week ahead too, Yolanda!

I did do it for a little bit until I got tired of harvesting all the fruits on her island lol but at least I paid some of the loan down! 😂

I feel like after the first initial high of ACNH, the fun starts to feel a bit like a chore, especially if you’re trying to build up a new island from scratch without any of the riches carried over from another save 😂

Sometimes I have to take a break from all the reading and blogging. I’ll take a week and just watch trash reality tv or binge watch a whole show on Netflix that I haven’t gotten to. I did that a couple weeks ago and it was SO nice. I got behind and I’m scrambling now, but it was nice! I hope you have a lovely week, Dini!! No rush on the book ❤

Yeah, that’s true. It’s not that I don’t want to be reading but I don’t want to read more than I want to game at the moment. I guess the mindlessness is needed! 🤭 Thanks for being so understanding. I’ve started the read though and I’m enjoying it a lot. I love learning about Pepper and seeing how Sidra outside of the ship! I still have a ways to catch up to you but I hope to get there soon 💜 Hope everyone stays healthy and you have a great week ahead, dear!

It’s good we have other hobbies!! Don’t worry, I’m trying to finish up the month and struggling to get through my last reads in. haha I forgot, I signed up to do a review today for another book.
