I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday in bed with Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson. This is the next Owlcrate book I’m reading with Leslie, Julie, and Ali. I remember how excited I was to read it when it was released and now four years later, I’m finally reading it! 😂 I’ve completely forgotten what it’s about and I’m only five chapters in but I am enjoying it so far!

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

This past week was hell. 😭 Okay, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic but of course, work had to get overwhelmingly busy now! I just need to hang in until we get past our critical meeting on Tuesday and then it’s time for a handover on Wednesday and then I’m out of the office until April! This weekend was busier than usual. I went to IKEA yesterday to meet up with one of my besties visiting from Bali. Even though we live in the same country, the last time we met was close to a year ago, so it was awesome spending the day with her! I went and got my nails done today and while there the tattoo artist I’m visiting in Tokyo sent a quick sketch design of my next (forearm) tattoo. This cutesy style is definitely more my sister’s vibe but it’s so adorable and I love it! I can’t wait to get it done!!

Also, I saw this Karma by TS-inspired shirt the other day and how could I resist?! it’s adorable!

I finished reading what will be one of my top books of the year this morning and my eyes are still sore from how much I cried reading that book. Gah, it hurts but feels so good at the same time! 😂

  1. I hope all goes well with the work meeting. Sounds like you did some fun stuff, but did you eat at the IKEA food court? I never pass up the Swedish meatballs. That tattoo drawing is too cute.

  2. Sorry to hear about how stressful it must have been this week, but on the bright side, you got to see your friend, and only a few days left on your trip! I am excited for you; I’m sure you will have a great time and will unwind! Love the tattoo I also have one of Studio Ghibli’s characters on my left arm! I wanted a sleeve with all of the characters but haven’t got the time to now with the baby, haha

  3. Fingers crossed your work meeting goes well, Dini, and you will be stress free when you leave for Japan. The tattoo looks pretty, I hope you love it. It is wonderful to spend time with friends you don’t get to see often. I love when that happens and we pick up as if we were never apart. Have a great week, and enjoy your trip.

  9. Sorry to hear last week was stressful for you – but yay to handover day tomorrow and then being off until April 😀 You must be so excited for your trip!
