Let’s Talk Bookish — February 2025 Topics ft. A Special Announcement!

Hello, friends! We’re almost to the weekend and I hope everyone is doing well and taking good care! ✨ I’ve got a very exciting and special announcement today that I’ve been sitting on since I was approached about it last month. As dramatic as it sounds, I can’t believe the day has finally come to announce that…

🎉 I will be joining Aria as co-host of Let’s Talk Bookish from February 2025! 🎉

✨ Only came here to find out next month’s topics? Skip ahead! ✨

What’s Let’s Talk Bookish?

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly bookish meme originally created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits, where every Friday, bloggers write discussion posts based on a weekly prompt.

I’ve been participating in this weekly meme for several years now and not to be biased or anything, but I love it so much! When I first found LTB I’d wanted to try writing discussion posts to add more variety to my blog but always felt overwhelmed with not knowing what to write about. I was thrilled to discover LTB existed and I’ve been joining ever since. 🐼

Aria has done an incredible job of solo hosting this weekly meme since 2022, especially since it is a big undertaking that involves a lot of time and prep work. Aria is such a sweet and thoughtful blogging friend and I’m so grateful to her for asking me to support her as a co-host. Check out her post while you’re here! I hope that I can help keep the energy and spirit of LTB alive and hopefully, we can come up with some fresh ideas for all of you. We’re so excited to be doing this together! 😍

A Brief Introduction & Housekeeping

Just in case some of you are new here: hey, hi, hello, and welcome to my blog! I’m Dini, a 30-something Indonesian book blogger who has been doing this thing since March 2019. I guess you can call me one of the oldies! 🤭 I mostly read romance and fantasy and you can find all sorts of things on here including book reviews, book tags, and weekly memes.

Aria and I will post the monthly topics on both of our pages and starting next month, I’ll include a link-up form on my LTB posts every Friday so that you can share your posts and everyone can read them too! Also starting in February, I’ll have a Let’s Talk Bookish page on my blog with an archive of topics that will also have links to Rukky’s archive (2019-2022) and Aria’s archive (2022-now). If you want to join in the LTB fun here are four new headers to use:

These images along with all the other bits and bobs can also be found on my LTB page for you to check out but Aria will also continue updating and posting on her page/site too!

Now, on to the good stuff you’ve been waiting for: February’s topics!

Thanks to Jillian for suggesting one of this month’s topics! If you have a topic you’d like to share (even if you don’t join LTB), you can fill in the Google form at the end of this post!

February 7: Reading Challenges: Do we love them or hate them? (Dini)

Prompts: What do you think of reading challenges—do they motivate you or do they feel restrictive and end up making reading feel like a chore? Are there any challenges you participate in yearly? What reading challenges are you joining in 2025?

February 14: Favorite Romance Tropes & Book Recs for them (Aria)

Prompts: Happy Valentine’s Day! What are your favorite romance tropes? What books would you recommend that have those tropes? Are there any books with those tropes on your TBR? Do you have any least favorite romance tropes?

February 21: Non-Romantic Love (Dini)

Prompts: It’s the month of love but it’s not always about romantic love. What are your favourite non-romantic relationships to read about (i.e. siblings, parent-child, etc.) and what do you love most about them? Do you prefer to read about them over romantic relationships? What books would you recommend with your favourite non-romantic relationships?

February 28: How Many Books Do You Read in a Year?
(Jillian @ Jillian the Bookish Butterfly)

Prompts: Prompts: How many books do you typically read in a year? Do you always track your reading? Does keeping track of the books you read motivate you or stress you out? How do you keep track of the books you read? Do you have a 2025 reading goal?

Ideas Submission

If you have any ideas or suggestions for LTB topics, we’d love to hear from you! ⬇️

That’s it for February’s topics and this special announcement! I’m so excited to be co-hosting with Aria starting next month and I do hope you do join us for these weekly discussions! Don’t forget to link back to our blogs if you do participate so we can read your posts. Take care, friends! 💜
