We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.
I finished my read earlier this morning and I haven’t picked anything up since then because I’ve been gaming all day. 🤭 That said, I’m looking at these possibilities because I’m not quite sure yet what reading mood I’m in!

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

It’s the end of the first half-week of 2025 and what have I been up to?
✨Absolutely nothing.✨
It was just as I had planned when I said I would take some leave days but I’m somehow feeling slightly guilty about having moved so little in the space of a week. I’m also a bit sad that I’ll be going back to work tomorrow and I know it will be a rough readjustment after doing nothing for a week… 🫣 Is anyone else going back to work for the first time tomorrow post-holidays? Why do holidays never feel like they’re long enough? Or maybe that’s just me, lol.

In between reading, I’ve been gaming a lot. I started and finished two short games (both ~6-hour gameplay) and if you enjoy narrative-style games, I would highly recommend them! Beacon Pines is a middle-grade level choose-your-own-adventure mystery set in a Zootopia-like small town. Coffee Talk is an adult visual novel where you play a late-night cafe owner in a paranormal-set Seattle and you learn about the lives of your regulars while making their favourite beverages. Simple yet cosy and engaging games perfect for those lazy days! 😊 I’m currently back to playing Cult of the Lamb (it’s exactly what it sounds like!) since I never finished it before and I don’t know why I stopped because it’s so addictive—I’m finding it hard to put down…
I’m keeping this here for a while in case more people decide to migrate over to Bluesky. Find me at: dinipandareads.bsky.social! 💜

2024 me thought this break would be super productive and that I would use the time to sort upcoming posts and an exciting announcement that I’m still hoping can be made mid-January! Unfortunately, present me—or let’s say, holiday me—was not on board with doing anything of the sort so now I feel even more behind than before… 🤣 Why is it so easy to procrastinate? I’ve at least finished two books so far. I’m not powering through my reads and I don’t know if I’ll get back to that point but slow and steady seems to be working okay!

Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

What?? I didn’t know Alexandria Warwick had other books besides her Four Winds series. Hmmm…I might give them a chance even though I wasn’t thrilled with THE WEST WIND.

Yes! Below was the first book I’d heard about from this author but I also didn’t see it mentioned often in the blogosphere. However, what I did hear was all positive so it made me even more curious to check it out. I had no idea she had a more recent series until your posts, hehe. I hope you enjoy this series of hers if you do check it out 🙂

I am with you – the holidays were not long enough. I have no idea where all the time went. Those games sound interesting. I like ones where you don’t need too much skill (since I don’t have it). I liked the Danan book. I know it had mixed reviews, but I found it interesting.

The holidays are never long enough and I also never know where all the times goes, lol. Are you already back to work, Sam? I hope you have a great week ahead regardless! I forgot that this book had mixed reviews but I’ve heard good things about Danan’s books in general so I’m keen to check them out (I do have several on my Kindle already)!

I was back last week but working from home. Still home today due to the snow storm, but working.

I feel you on the struggle to go back to work (that’s me tomorrow, as well) but I’m so glad you got some comfy gaming and relaxation time. You ABSOLUTELY deserve it. 🖤

Good luck going back to work, Nicole! I hope it’s not as painful or bothersome as you imagined. Thankfully, quite a few people in my office today were still on leave so it made for a slower (and quieter) return to the norm. 🤣 I hope you have a great week ahead! 💜

Being retired, every day is a holiday, but when I was working, Yes, the holidays always went by way to fast. I hope your 2025 at work is all you hope it will be, Dini.
