House of Frank by Kay Synclaire ★★¾?
This left me feeling pretty disappointed. The characters and the found family aspect especially let me down. I don’t think the characters and their connection were fleshed out enough for me to care for them. There were also a lot of elements that weren’t clear—was this a totally different world? Was it a contemporary or historical setting? What was the timeline? I’m sad it didn’t work for me! 🥺
Darling Series by S.J. Tilly
I had a lot of fun with these two books! They’re fun, small-town age-gap romances with plenty of steam, banter, and a twist or two. Check out my series review!

This is my buddy read with Becky! I’m a bit behind (as usual, lol) but so far, I’m loving the pace and all of the perspectives we’re getting. Okoa is my boy 🥹 and I love Xiala and Iktan! I’m surprised how much we’re learning about a certain Jaguar god too. I have a feeling Roanhorse is gonna break my heart, lol.

This is my buddy read with Leslie. This has been on my TBR for ages and I can’t recall the synopsis so I’m going into this one completely blank. It’s a lot more gruesome/gory than I expected! We have a headstrong FMC and a curious MMC… I’m excited to read more!

Sorry House of Frank disappointed. At least you lost yourself in some romance. I bought the Jimenez short story. I was too short. I wanted more. Those two deserve a book.
