Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

The last time I did one of these was almost a full month ago but in that time, I’ve admittedly not read much over that time. Well, that’s not necessarily true—I’ve been reading tons of mindless smutty shifter romance just to feel like I’m reading something since my reading mood/motivation has been at an all-time low. 😅 That said, I did recently read two fantasies I thoroughly enjoyed!
Fevered Star (Between Earth and Sky #2) by Rebecca Roanhorse ★★★★☆
I never have an issue being fully absorbed in Roanhorse’s books and this was no different. I felt immersed in the world and I enjoyed learning more about it. That said, I was slightly disappointed by the pacing and ending! Becky and I will be finishing off our buddy read of this series with the final book this Friday and I hope that it all wraps up well in the end!
A Captured Cauldron (Side Quest Row #2) by R.K. Ashwick ★★★★☆
This was a great second book in this wonderful cosy fantasy series. It’s full of magic, mayhem, mischief, delightfully magical baked goods, and plenty of found family moments. I love the Rosemond Street shopkeepers and the family they make and I can’t wait to return to this loveable bunch in the next book! 😍 Check out my review.
House of Frank ⇢ 41%
I’m finally reading House of Frank and I’m having mixed feelings which is disappointing since I thought this would be a 5-star read. While I don’t have to love or even particularly like an MC to appreciate them or a story, I’m struggling with Saika! She’s so judgemental, selfish and temperamental… Let’s see how the rest of this goes! I hope my feelings about it change!
I’m doing buddy reads for Mirrored Heavens and Anatomy but the rest will really up to my mood (as usual)! 😂

Okay, I still need to read Black Sun! I saw book two on sale for Prime Day Deals and I might need to snag it up, since you enjoyed it! I can’t wait for our buddy read!! 🙂

Yeah, time really flies lol I can’t believe it’s been a month too (ngl tho sometimes it feels longer lol) And YES, I would snap them up! The trilogy if you can cos I think after the second book you’ll wanna jump straight into the final 😅 But the first book is amazing! Would defo recommend!

Completely agree about Fevered Star, but I’m still excited for Mirrored Heavens! I have Bright Young Women on my TBR too, so maybe that could be a future buddy read? Hope you enjoy all your reads 🙂

Nothing wrong with reading smutty shifter romance if that is what you are enjoying right now, Dini. I am sad that you are not enjoying House of Frank. I have that one coming up soon. I am not a fan of books where I don’t like or can’t connect to the MC, so that might be a problem.
