We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books Involving Food (That are Not Cookbooks) (Submitted by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext and Hopewell’s Public Library of Life)
I did this topic earlier this year for a TTT freebie but I still wanted to see if I could find 10 new books involving food that I didn’t mention on that list. Unfortunately, I came up slightly short—I could only find seven books I’ve read *and enjoyed* since April 2024—so I threw in three books on my TBR that I can’t wait to read! They’re the last three books on this list.

Convenience Store Woman
How to Win a Breakup
Don’t Go Baking My Heart
Do Me A Favor
Magic, Lies, and Deadly Pies

Brewed in Magic
Act Your Age, Eve Brown
A Legend in the Baking (TBR)
Stirring Up Love (TBR)
Bloom (TBR)

Do you enjoy reading books involving food? What are some of your favourite “foodie fiction” picks? I’d love your recommendations!

I really like the Magic, Lies, and Deadly Pies series.

I’m looking forward to continuing the series and seeing where it goes next 🙂

I found this topic hard as well, because I don’t select my reading material based on a trope, just on the blurb 🙂 I haven’t read any of your list though.

I don’t seek out books with food too but it’s always such a delight to find them!

Now I’m craving pie. 🙂

Mmm, I immediately made pie after reading this book (although definitely wouldn’t want to be eating the deadly pie from the book! 😂

I think it is weird that most books barely mention food at all considering eating is a universal human need. Glad you found ten more good ones that mention food.

You know, I never thought about it like that but you’re right—a lot of books have very minimal food parts 😂 So I definitely love the ones that involve a lot of food!

I’m looking forward to reading A Legend in the Baking, as I loved Fake It Till You Bake it!

I have only read one of these (Eve Brown), but I read one of the other books in the Jamie Wesley series. I love books with food.

I read the first book in Wesley’s series but it was in my earlier food related blog post so I decided to add the sequel to this one 😂 I love books with food too!

So glad to hear it, Julie! I haven’t seen a lot of people talk about it in recent years but it did receive a lot of hype previously. It looks very cute/sweet 🙂

Oooh, yeah! I forgot that I could use Convenience Store Woman on this week’s list. There’s a lot of talk about the daily food specials in that one.

Yes! Food might not be the main theme but… It’s there and so I counted it 😂🤭

Given how frequently food was mentioned in that book, I think it counts for sure!

I will have to do this for a freebie, as I am still trying to get my rhythm back. The only one of these I have read is A Legend in Baking. I know I will be adding to my TBR this week.
