We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Bookish Wishes (List the top 10 books you’d love to own and include a link to your wishlist so that people can grant your wishes. Make sure you link your wishlist to your mailing address or include the email address associated with your e-reader in the list description so people know how to get the book to you. After you post, jump around the Linky and grant a wish or two if you’d like. Please don’t feel obligated to send anything to anyone!)
Hello, dear friends! I hope everyone is doing well and you’re taking good care. 💜 I’m so happy that today’s topic is fairly easy and fun. I’m sharing a list of 10 books from my Kindle TBR Wishlist but I’m looking at prices on opposite ends of the spectrum—from the cheapest to the most expensive! I might just buy some of the cheaper ones after this as a treat because life has been frustrating lately and we all deserve to “occasionally” spoil ourselves, right? 🤭 On that note… Here’s what I’ve got on my list!

From the cheapest…

Somewhere in the Deep — £1.56
The Conductors — £1.99
The Queer Principles of Kit Webb — £1.99
Count Your Lucky Stars — £1.99
Night Song — £1.99

To the most expensive…

Every Other Weekend — £14.99
We Are Not Free — £11.99
The Will of the Many — £11.99
Morning Sun in Wuhan — £11.49
I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry — £9.99

Do you also have these books on your TBR or do you already own some of them? Do you treat yourself to books often?

I never heard of any of these LOL.

I loved the The Queer Principles of Kit Webb and pretty much everything else I’ve read by Sebastian. The Will of the Many is awesome, too. 🙂

I’ve heard so many amazing things about The Will of the Many and I’m a bit gutted the Kindle book is so pricey but I may just cave and get it at some point in the near(ish) future, lol. Great o hear you enjoyed both books 😃

Love how you split this from cheapest to most expensive – it’s funny how there can be such huge differences between books. I haven’t read any of these yet, but Every Other Weekend is on my TBR. Hope you’ll enjoy all of these!

I always enjoy taking a look at the more expensive Kindle books for when I’m feeling emotionally reckless with my money 😂 Hahaha I wish that some of them weren’t so pricey though but I enjoy checking in every now and then to see if prices have changed, lol

I own a copy of We Are Not Free, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to read it yet. I don’t know if I’m right, but I have a feeling it will be sad and that’s not the mood I want to read right now. I hope you can treat yourself to some books soon!

There are sad bits, and yes the overall story is sad. But more in the fact that Americans treated other Americans the same way due to their ancestry. As a YA historical fiction, it’s not overly gut wrenching but more a great intro to the discussion of incareration camps.

I’ll have to pick it up sooner rather than later, then. I guess I was expecting it to be incredibly heart-wrenching, and I don’t have the emotional bandwidth to appreciate that right now. But a historical book with some sad bits I can manage, Thanks!

Oh, I totally get this. I have quite a few books on my TBR that I know are going to make me very emotional and I tend to put off reading those the longest because I have to make sure I gear myself up for it and never feel like I’ll be ready 😂 I do end up loving those books most though because of the whole catharsis of letting out the emotions, etc., lol.

I don’t use kindle so it’s interesting to see the currency in pounds instead of IDR!

I got my first Kindle and set up my Amazon account when I lived in the UK so that’s why it’s still in pounds, haha 😂

I read Morning Sun in Wuhan and liked it! It’s interesting the difference in pounds.

Ooh, I didn’t realise you’d read it (I’m trying to figure out whose review influenced me to add it to my TBR, lol) but I’m glad to hear you liked it 😃 I think Amazon US has a lot more amazing deals (defo a lot more amazing titles on KU) but Amazon UK is pretty alright, lol

Morning Sun in Wuhan was such a great read. It’s of course a bit difficult because it’s peak Covid but it also had a lot of love and hope in it. Also recipes, for things in the book! If you want to try any, they’re included in full in there. 🙂

I wonder if I saw it first on your blog actually! I’ve been trying to figure it out but my memory is so poor. 😂 I love books with recipes so that definitely makes me more intrigued and of course, I always love a story full of love and hope 😍

I honestly can’t remember where I first heard about the book but when I re-read the synopsis for this post, I was glad to have it on my list. It sounds great! But also, hard relate to there being so many books, and having so little time 😂

We Are Not Free is an amazing book! It’s essentially a collection of short stories that are all connected. It’s based on the author’s family experiences in the US during WWII.

I’ve had this on my radar for so long and until now the price has not gone down so I think I might have to just buy it as expensive as it is 😂 I’ve heard it’s amazing and so I’m excited to hear you say the same about it. I’ve read few books with this setting and talking about the impact of what happened to those families so I’m very intrigued!
