Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last Wednesday I’ve finished seven books! It’s been my biggest reading week in a while and I found a new all-time favourite read as well. Safe to say it’s been a smashing week of reading! π₯°

Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevensonβ

β
β
This was a fun, cheeky and clever mystery! I haven’t read one like it and even though it took a while for me to get used to the writing perspective, I enjoyed it immensely! I can see why it’s so popular.
Buried in a Good Book (By the Book #1) by Tamara Berry β
β
β
β
β
This was such a great cosy mystery that makes me wonder why I still don’t read more of this sub-genre. The humorous writing, small-town setting, outlandish murders, intense MC and great supporting characters made a great package. I can’t wait to continue this series! π
Surrender to Sin (The Fallen Series #1) by Nicola Davidson β
β
β
ββ
This was another title I saw on Nicole’s blog and it was a bonkers romp but I loved it. It’s erotic romance so the character arcs weren’t very strong but I enjoyed Davidson’s writing and the sexual journey. Also as Nicole mentioned, I love the play of character names in the titles!
The Devil’s Submission (The Fallen Series #2) by Nicola Davidson β
β
β
Β½
This was my favourite in this erotic series. I don’t read much of the kinkier erotic variety but I appreciated the submissive MMC and dominant FMC dynamic and how it was explored in this historical context. I wished this was a full-length novel cos it would’ve given the character arcs the room they deserved to grow!
The Seduction of Viscount Vice (The Fallen Series #3) by Nicola Davidson β
β
ΒΎ
The last and probably least favourite of the series even though I was hoping to love this gruff Scotsman’s erotic romance. Sadly, this second-chance romance saw both characters spending little time re-acquainting themselves outside of improbably timed sexual trysts before they’re already falling back in love. It wasn’t the worst but there was so much potential to be better!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab β
β
β
β
β
If I could give this all the stars I would. Everything about this from the writing and the characters was stunningβI loved it so much, I have no words. So happy I read this with Chris & Julie!
(ARC) Last of the Talons (Talon #1) by Sophie Kim β
β
β
Β½
This is a great “starter” YA fantasy for those who want to explore the genre more but often find world-building overwhelming. Everything was rather surface-level but I ended up enjoying it more than I expected to! My review is up tomorrow π

Magic, Lies and Deadly Pies β’ 4%
I added this to my TBR after seeing Louise mention it in her tag last week. I’ve just started so I don’t have much to say but loving the vibes so far π

I’ve got a couple of blog tour reads coming up but I’ll get to them after my current “palate cleanser” read!

What are you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends!

oh! Voyage of the Damned is one of my faves this year!

Ohmagaaah, I loved it so much that my chest aches every time I think about it. It’s just… SO GOOD?! As much as I hate myself for not reading it sooner, I’m also kinda glad that I put off until now cos it was just the right time. I want to experience it again for the first time π«π

I sure did! π It had been a minute since I went on a series binge but I’m glad that I did. This was a fun and super sexy series! I hope you enjoy the rest of it whenever you get around to reading it!

It’s nice that they are short and easy to fly through!! I definitely will have to read the sequels sooner rather than later!! π₯°
