We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is May Flowers — Pick your own title for this one to reflect the direction you choose to go with this prompt (books with flowers on the cover, flower names in the title, characters whose names are flower names, stories involving flowers/gardeners)
I went for the easy option today and will be spotlighting 10 books with flowers on the cover and I’ve deliberately picked ones that are still on my TBR.
The Waves Take You Home
This Place is Still Beautiful
Before I Let Go
Black Water Sister
After Hours on Milagro Street
Flowers from the Storm
Forget Me Not
Spells for Lost Things
The Ten Thousand Doors of January
A Botanist’s Guide to Parties and Poisons
Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Flowers on covers seemed a bit of a trend in recent years—do you like, dislike or feel indifferent about these covers?
I nearly put Black Water Sister on my list, but I’d mentioned it in a list post a few days ago so I have to limit myself. I loved it though. If you’re interested, the illustrator is Mel Four: https://www.melfour.com/

It was definitely the flowers on the cover of The Ten Thousand Doors of January that caught my eye and made me read that book!

I’ve also had TEN THOUSAND DOORS on my TBR for ages. 🤣 I bought it on Kobo thinking I’d try out that e-reader platform, then I never ended up using it and stuck with kindle.

I don’t have Jenna’s on my shelf or anything, but I think I did read about that one back in the day! May be a book I need to look up again on Goodreads. 🙂

The Waves Take You Home is not only an excellent example of flowers on a cover but also of flowers in the hair! Thanks for visiting my blog.

I hope you enjoy reading all of these books when you get the opportunity! As for floral covers? There are a lot out there, and I don’t mind one way or the other.

All very eye catching covers, Dini. The only one I’ve read is The Ten Thousand Doors of January and I really like it. Out of my comfort zone, and I was glad I went there. I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them.

These all look like great titles! I’ve only read The Ten Thousand Doors of January, and I remember loving it but not much of the details. Gorgeous covers!

All of these are stunning! I’ve only read Forget Me Not (which I loved) and the Botanist Guide to Parties and Poisons but the rest of the covers are amazing.
