Back in 2021, I was tagged by the wonderful Kerri @Kerri McBookNerd to do The Greek Gods Book Tag. Now, three years later, I’m finally getting around to doing it! How quickly time flies because I honestly thought this was a tag from last year… Oops! 🤭
Let’s jump straight to the tag!

The Rules
- Pingback to Zuky here so she can read all your posts!
- You can use her graphics if you like, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.
- Tag as many people as you want, but please share the love.

The Prompts:
Zeus, King of the Gods: Your Favourite Book

The Green Bone Saga
This is obviously not just one book but a trilogy and it is one of the most incredible books I’ve read. Ever. Period. Seriously, this serious is so amazing and I will never not recommend it! 😍
Hera, Queen of the Gods: A Badass Female Character

Sigyn Odinottir from The Goddess of Nothing at All
She’s Odin’s daughter, Loki’s wife and one of the lesser-known deities but it doesn’t make her any less incredible. I read this years ago but she is a character whose strength and badassery have stuck with me. She’s truly something! 😍
Janus, God of Beginnings: Your Favourite Debut(s)

Seven Percent of Ro Devereux
This was honestly the first book that came to mind. O’Clover’s debut was one of my favourite reads last year and I can’t recommend it enough! A wonderfully heartfelt YA contemporary.
Athena, Goddess of Wisdom: Your Favourite Non-Fiction Book

Killers of the Flower Moon
I read this back in 2017 and it’s still the only non-fiction that I’ve finished in one sitting. I read this overnight because I couldn’t put this down. I was completely blown away!
Aphrodite, Goddess of Love: A book you adore and recommend everyone read

I’m choosing ONE?! I hate playing by my self-imposed rule to choose only ONE BOOK, lol. 😭
In A Jam
I’ve been thinking about Shay and Noah a lot lately. Their romance was heartfelt swoontastic goodness and ugh, I adore the little family that they make so freaking much!
Hades, God of the Underworld: An evil book you wish didn’t exist

American Psycho
I can acknowledge that Ellis says some interesting things about society and toxic cultures, but I also found this so gratuitous. Reading this made me feel queasy AF and was it really necessary? Was it? I say no. 🥴
Poseidon, God of the Sea and Earthquakes: A beautiful and ground-breaking book

Where the Lemon Trees Grow
This had absolutely incredible storytelling and was an amazingly heartfelt and impactful story! It was illuminating and heavy—yes, very heavy—but poignant and it will stick with me for a long time. I still feel this is surprisingly underrated!
Apollo, God of the Arts: A beautiful book cover

Song of Silver, Flame Like Night
This is the Illumicrate cover and it’s stunning! The naked cover underneath is even more beautiful. I love the details 😍
Hypnos, God of Sleep: A book so boring you almost fell asleep

The War of Two Queens
This is an unpopular opinion that might get me skewered by the romantasy fans but this applies to books two and four of JLA’s incredibly popular From Blood and Ash series. These books confirmed that JLA is not the author for me and that’s super OK. 😂
Hermes, Messenger of the Gods: A book you sped through

The Undertaking of Hart & Mercy
This can apply to so many books but I’ve also been thinking about Hart & Mercy a lot lately so I have to shout them out here! I adore adore adore them!

I’m tagging (but no pressure):
- Chris @Biblio Nerd Reflections
- Leslie @Books are the New Black
- Ali @Ali’s Books
- Julie @One Book More
- YOU!
I don’t know why it took me forever to get around to answering this tag! It was fun to do and if you also do it, I’d love to see your answers! 😃

Love this tag! I desperately need to read In a Jam! And I agree with your thoughts on As Long as Lemon Trees Grow. I still think about it!

I hope you love In a Jam! It’s just SO MUCH FUN 😍 And I love their little quirky family. Lemon Trees is so good and I need more people to read it. It deserves so much more hype/love!

Thanks for the tag! These are great answers, and I was delighted to see Hart & Mercy make an appearance. I loved that book so much. I think we’ll probably end up with the same answer for Zeus because I’m not sure anything can top the Green Bone Saga. We’ll see…

Green Bone Saga is the ultimate, for sure! 😍 Hart & Mercy is also amazing and I can’t wait for the next book to come out. It looks like so much fun! Can’t wait to see your answers if you do this one.

I will never get bored of seeing Jade City recommended 😍😍 I can’t remember if I’ve asked your this before, but do you have a favourite character from the series??
I must read The Goddess of Nothing At All, it sounds amazing ✨

YES. I will never ever stop recommending the Green Bone Saga because it is TOP TIER forever. 😍 A favourite character from the series is SO hard. I got so scared to become invested in characters after what Lee did to my favourite in book one (lmao, STILL WEEPING) but Anden and Shae are just… UGH. But also HILO and WEN!!! Okay, maybe asking me about a favourite character is like asking me for my favourite book, LMAO. It’s too hard to just pick one 😂 Also, YES, Goddess of Nothing At All is another one I think I’ll always recommend, especially to fantasy lovers. It’s so well written and it’s SO EMOTIONAL. The damage it wrought was same tier as GBS for me, haha. I clearly like books that hurt me.

YAYYY 😍 aw.. It was an unfair question, the characters are all so different but wonderful!
Yeah, the first book did hurt 🥲
Anden and Shae do deserve good things, but it wouldn’t be the same without Hilo and Wen!
Oh wow, more tears, bring it on! 😂

I KNOW! It’s my least favourite question of ALL TIME for always! Like, NO. Do not make me pick one. There is nothing worse to a book lover 😂
