We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Love Freebie (in honour of Valentine’s Day tomorrow).
I was going to for ‘meet cutes’ in the title but that would be misleading because not all of these were necessarily meet cutes, but I obviously loved them all! I loved how these characters came together on the page and how it set up great romances. Most of these were recent reads for me so their meetings were more or less fresh in my mind but since this is a topic that I’ve never even considered doing before, I thought it’d be fun to try. 😍

- The Exception to the Rule: It was the wrong email at the right time.
- Worst Wingman Ever: It was a horny Valentine’s Day gift to the wrong person!
- Rosie and the Dreamboat: It was being trapped in my worst nightmare and being rescued by her wildest dream.

- Night Hawk: She’s been (wrongfully) placed under arrest and he’s… Well, he’s escorting her to her freedom!
- Destiny’s Captive: She literally ties him up and then steals his boat 🤭
- Destiny’s Embrace: They’re both fiercely stubborn and out of frustration, she throws a rock at him (it’s funnier than I make it sound, I promise) 😂

- Role Playing: Gaming friends with mistaken identity—he thinks she’s old, she thinks he’s a teen!
- The Singles Table: She shot him in the butt at a bachelor/bachelorette paintball game!
- Divine Rivals: IRL rivals, Secret identity, exchanging letters by magic
- Love Lettering: She put a secret message in his wedding invites and he deciphered it…

Have you read any of these books or are they on your TBR? What are some of your favourite romantic meetings? I’d love to know!

I really loved Role Playing, I’m glad to see it on this list!!

YES! I hope you love Role Playing if you get around to checking it out. It’s been an endorphin boost seeing everyone adding the book to their TBRs from this list 😂😍 And yeah, Divine Rivals is definitely one of the most popular romantasies circulating these days but definitely deserving of the hype!

Both are fantastic reads and I can’t recommend them enough, especially the former which I don’t think gets all the hype it deserves (but maybe I’m biased cos I loved it so, lol) 😂 If you do check them out, I hope you love them!

I think I might need to dive into Beverly Jenkins’ backlog. Hahaha. First meetings really do set the tone for the whole story, so what a great idea.
