We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2024.
For the sake of my wallet, wish list, and TBR, I don’t generally pay much attention to new release lists and often just see them as people talk about them on the blogosphere or the bird app. So, did I only have about 5 books on my 2024 release radar before today? Yes. But, did I also go to Goodreads and add a whole bunch of books to that list mostly to create this list? Also, yes. 😂 It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed by the upcoming books that pique my interest and that I know I’ll never get to because I would go even more broke than I am now (no library access = true sadness, friends).
But before I go off on a tangent, let’s look at the books I am excited about, shall we? I notice most of them are being published in February and April!

Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands | 9 January 2024
Faebound | 18 January 2024
A Love Song for Ricki Wilde | 6 February 2024
A Tempest of Tea | 20 February 2024
Fathomfolk | 27 February 2024

This Could Be Us | 5 March 2024
The Hedgewitch of Foxhall | 12 March 2024
Dragonfruit | 9 April 2024
The Age of Magical Overthinking | 9 April 2024
To Gaze Upon Wicked Gods | 16 April 2024

I have no doubt my 2024 release radar is going to grow exponentially today. What about you? Did you already have these on your TBR or are they potential new additions? Happy reading!

I love this topic but then my list grows like crazy! The Age of Overthinking might be one I need to read! haha!! I have seen Faebound all over and I’m going to have to look into that one. I hope that you get these, if not all, and love them!! ❤

I can’t help but look at all the shiny new books. I’m reading Fathomfolk at the moment and I really like the world she’s created but I’m still waiting for the characters’ personalities to grab me. Emily Wilde is as charming as the first one, and I’ve got my pre-order in for A Tempest of Tea! I’ve been waiting so long for it.

Ooh, I can’t wait to read your thoughts on Fathomfolk once you’re done. I hope that you’ve been able to latch on to the characters’ personalities and if you finished it already, I hope you ended up enjoying it a lot! I feel like I’ve been waiting so long for Tempest, too. I hope we all love it 😍

There are so many beautiful covers this year 🥹 but I did the same thing. Lol browse GR for 2024 releases for this list and now I have too many on my TBR

Haha, I overlooked one or two that I actually do have on my NG list. There are just too many great ones! I hope you enjoy all of your 2024 reads 😍

You adding to your TBR to create this list cracks me up. Only something a blogger would do, right? It looks like you added some good ones. I see a couple I wouldn’t mind reading myself.

I’d been planning to re-read the first Emily Wilde book soon and I bought the audiobook the other day after hearing a sample. I’m so excited about it. I hope you love it, Lindsey 😍

So many good books! 😍 I love the fantasy choices, of course!
I enjoyed Kennedy Ryan’s Before I Let Go last year. Have you read this book? I’m excited for her next one too!

HAHA, well, you see, I have Before I Let Go on my TBR still… It’s at the front and center of my shelves actually and I see it every day when I sit at my desk. It taunts me and I still have yet to pick it up cos I never feel like I’m emotionally ready for it? 😂 I’m a silly goose, I know. LOL

We all have those books sitting on our shelves. Believe me, I understand! 😂
p.s. it does feel like a warm hug at the end 🥰

I almost put Faebound on my list. Seeing it around lately! I’m also very keen for the Tia Williams, I loved Seven Days in June so I have very high hopes for her new one.

I actually only learned about Faebound last week when I saw spoilers from a book box. The edition was so stunning I had to look up the book immediately 😂 I also loved Seven Days in June and it’s why I’m so excited for Ricki Wilde. I love this cover so much too! 😍 I hope we both love it!

I don’t pay much attention to new releases either. I go on a few Blog tours a month but other than that (which I need to cut down on because I have so many books to read). I got to 7 books.
No library access?! Bless you.
A great looking list though.
Have a great week!

In recent years I’ve tried cutting down on blog tours as well but that was one of the only places I could get early reading access to some books I was really looking forward to. But I really *do* have enough to read on my shelves 😂 I hope you have a great week as well!

I can’t imagine not having access to a library. That must be awful! I’m so sorry. Do you take advantage of NetGalley and Edelweiss? That’s how I get a lot of e-ARCs for new releases.
I hope you enjoy all these.
Happy TTT!

I definitely miss library access a lot! Sadly, being international also means that I don’t get a lot of access on NetGalley and Edelweiss too for regional copyright reasons. I’m mostly okay with it cos I do have enough to read but sometimes it can really be a bummer cos of FOMO, haha. I’m thankful to be able to afford fuelling my book hoarding addiction though. 💜🤭

I do love finding books that are going to be published that I want to read. No library access that’s a real downer. It’s where I get many of my books, but when I was growing up – no library. It was awful.

No library access is a big downer and I’ve gotten used to it over the years ever since I moved back to Indonesia but it’s still a bummer sometimes when I see so many books I want to read and can’t easily get access to. Especially since Kindle books are also getting even more expensive these days! 😭 But it’s OK. We make do! I have tons of books I should get through first, lol.

I know Dini and feel your pain even knowing you have plenty to read. I live in New Zealand and often books from USA don’t publish here, for very “important” ones I buy from Amazon but it hurts my pocket big time.

Interesting list, Dini. I don’t have any of these on my TBR, as I am really trying to read my backlist books, but there are a couple more I will be checking out. This top ten week is always deadly on my TBR. I hope you enjoy them all.

My list is already super long, and some releases haven’t even been announced yet.
To Gaze Upon Wicked Gods is probably my most anticipated release of the year (apart from sequels). Fathomfolk, Faebound, and The Age of Magical Overthinking are on my list too.

I also used the end of the year to finally check out what 2024 releases to put on my list 😊 I read the Emily Wilde’s sequel already and it was so good 🥰
