I forgot that this tag existed but I’m glad I was reminded of it because otherwise, I would’ve missed out on doing an annual favourite. It’s time for the Bookish Naughty or Nice Tag, friends! Have I been Naughty or Nice this year? I’m tempted to say naughty but I think I’ve actually been pretty good in 2023, lol. Let’s see if I’m right! 😂

I haven’t gotten better at this over the years but 2023 especially was a year when all my reading plans got thrown immediately out the window by February and it… kept on that way. 😮‍💨

Wa-hey! Despite not reading all the ARCs that I got this year (+ the overdue ones from previous years…) my rating still sits at 72%. Phew!

I think I’m actually good with this one this year! I’m like 89% sure. I don’t think I marked all my read books cos I knew I wasn’t going to review them at the time so… I just never added them! 😂

I can’t remember the exact number of books I didn’t finish this year but I think it’s the most I’ve ever DNFd. Life’s too short, my mood is too fickle, etc., etc. My goal is to DNF more though so I don’t really think this makes me naughty, lol.

I mean, listen… It’s been a tough year and I’ve indulged in retail therapy a time or two or three. I don’t think I have any intention of not ever reading said books cos I will, eventually—but who really knows when eventually will come around!

This year has been pretty mid when it came to my ratings which means I’ve done more than my fair share of skimming cos I wanted to get through the books faster!

Contrary to what my Goodreads Challenge shows on the website, I’ve actually surpassed my goal but I just haven’t logged them all on GR. According to my spreadsheet, I’ve read 159 books! 🎉

I only annotated one book this year but I used stickies and didn’t write directly in the book—no matter how tempted I was to get all in it! 😂

According to GR, I’ve read 128 books but since I know I’ve read 159 books, that means I haven’t added a whopping 31 books to my list! Wow, that number kinda shocks me, lol. 😂

I thought I was good this year but I completely forgot that I borrowed the first three volumes of the One Piece manga from my boss and still haven’t returned it. Oops! 😬

I was pretty good this year! I even let my dad borrow tons of books which he always returned in pristine condition! 😏

Again, I would absolutely never do this! I would be so disappointed in myself if this ever happened to one of my gorgeous hardcovers, lol.

Alright, alright, that’s what I’m talking about! It’s great knowing I’ve been an awesome book panda this year, haha! 🐼 💜 📖 Hopefully, 2024 will be just as good.

THIS POST WAS SO FUN I LOVE IT?? everything about it’s so cute and perfect AND I LOVE THE PANDA GRAPHICS OK. im trash at reading ARCs and also returning borrowed books and i have about 267484 different reviews ive started and never finished so i feel like,, you could bet everything on me coming out of this tag with a label saying naughty. BUT GOSH WAIT. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE 159 BOOKS BECAUSE THAT NUMBER’S JUST DOWNRIGHT INSANE?? CONGRATULATIONS YOU FABULOUS OVERACHIEVER

  7. Loved reading your answers to this Tag 💕 I loved the cute panda images!! I have been pretty bad with reviews this year and still have so many unwritten ones waiting for me 🙈 For some of them I don’t remember that much anymore!
