Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve finished 5 books. I’m eating up these paranormal shifters romances but I think we’ve come to the end of the line now! 😂

The Marriage Game (Marriage Game #1) by Sara Desai ★★★★☆
I enjoyed it more than expected! I liked Layla and loved the family. Her chemistry with Sam was great but I was disappointed with Sam’s arc, especially with the total lack of grovelling! This man needed to do so much more grovelling to deserve Layla (and her family, lol). Still loved their HEA though!
Return to Monte Carlo by Cate C. Wells ★★★½
This book started my journey into Wells’ romances. This angsty age-gap romance set in the 80s was not what I expected. I didn’t love it but I also couldn’t look away and didn’t want to put it down and got addicted to the gut-punch angsty feelings from this couple’s dynamic. Defo check out CW/TW!
The Tyrant Alpha’s Rejected Mate (Five Packs #1) by Cate C. Wells ★★★½
I’ve only read a handful of shifter romances but never any with the rejected mate trope. Read for a gritty and angsty AF romance with a hella strong FMC and a completely whipped MMC who grovels well! Also check CW/TW!
The Heir Apparent’s Rejected Mate (Five Packs #2) by Cate C. Wells ★★★☆☆
This was about a new pack and while I loved the FMC, Rosie and her giant wolf, I thought the romance was lacking. The MMC was so robotic with zero appeal! It was also way too long for what little happened.
The Lone Wolf’s Rejected Mate (Five Packs #3) by Cate C. Wells ★★★½
I think I might’ve entered my angst-loving era cos I’m eating these books up. This was an age-gap grumpy/sunshine romance that was more action-packed and fast-paced compared to the first two books. I really liked Mari and Darragh together!

I bought The Thursday Murder Club on a whim when I was at the bookstore the other day and it’s now my daily train read. I’ve heard so many good things about it and so far, it’s living up to the hype! It’s funny, cosy-ish but also bittersweet. 💜

Who knows what the mood will dictate! 🤷🏻♀️

What are you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends!

It looks like you had a decent reading week. I hope next week’s books are even better.
