Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

It’s not been much of a reading week and since last Wednesday, I finished two books.

The Best Laid Plans (The Best Men #1) by Karla Sorensen ★★★★★
This was my first book by this author but I loved it. The writing, the characters, the maturity in the romance, the incendiary chemistry and sexual tension, and the slow burn! All of it worked so well for me and I can’t wait for more in this series (soon, please)! 😍
Roses of May (The Collector #2) by Dot Hutchison ★★★★☆
It took me a while to get through this because I didn’t read it consistently but it was a great read. It’s unsurprisingly dark and disturbing (although not as dark as the first book) but the characters and perspectives were so well-written! I’m keen to continue the series.

I started a slow buddy read of The Spanish Love Deception on Monday but I haven’t gotten past chapter 2 yet. It’s… OK so far. There are some weird/clunky moments in the writing and I find myself re-reading phrases often but I’m curious to see where it goes. I hope I enjoy it as much as everyone else seems to love it!

My mood is in a weird place so it really depends on that but I have no possibilities on the radar as of yet! 🤷🏻♀️

What are you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends!

I’m really hoping that Spanish Love Deception picks up for us. I need to see if Julie feels the same way we do. I’m going to try and keep an open mind since so many loved it!

I am so happy you loved Sorensen! Her writing has really grown, but I would encourage you to go back to the Washington Wolves series and then keep reading her books from there. So good!

I struggled through The Spanish Love Deception… I did enjoy it, it was just really slow and too long for me! Haven’t started the others from her yet but seeing they are pretty popular too so thinking I might dive in again…

I was an odd one out and didn’t love The Spanish Love Deception. I hope y’all are in the majority, though, and love it. I really need to get to Sorensen’s book.
