#TopTenTuesday: Book Covers in the Colours of My Country’s Flag!

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is actually: Characters from Different Books Who Should Team Up (or date, be friends with, etc.) (Submitted by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext) BUT as you can tell by the title of this post, I’m going rogue!

This week’s topic is a little tough and although I managed to come up with an (admittedly weak) list I still decided to go rogue after checking out the prompts from the previous two months that I missed. That’s where I saw the prompt “book covers in the colours of my country’s flag” and I thought it was perfect timing because Indonesia’s independence day falls on Thursday this week (August 17)! So, this is what I’m doing and it’s a lot easier for my brain to handle, lol. As with most weeks, I’ll be featuring books that are still on my TBR… Now, let’s get to the red and white!

Hooked
Two Wrongs Make a Right
Concrete Rose
The Dark Queens
Breath of Fire

Ayiti
The Shadow of the Gods
The Game Plan
Warbreaker
Traitor’s Blade

I’m honestly kind of surprised that I couldn’t find more white books on my physical/digital shelf! Have you read any of these books? Do you have a lot of red and/or white books on your shelves?

  1. It seems lots of people went rogue this week. I feel a little bad but it was really tough! Great combination of covers there. Breath of Fire is a great video game series so seeing a book series called that has me intrigued. 😅 Have a great week! 💚

    • I think if I was better prepared I would’ve done the week’s prompt but my brain saw the prompt and was like “yeah, nah”—unfortunately, lol. I did like the week’s topic though so I think I’ll definitely come back to it at some point. Maybe 🤭 Ooh, I didn’t know there was a game called Breath of Fire! What console? I hope you’ve had a great week!

  2. Happy Independence Day!! I just picked up a copy of Two Wrongs Make a Right when I saw it on sale, so I’m happy to see it here on your list. Happy reading, Dini!
