#TopTenTuesday: 10 Favourite Female Main Characters

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Favourite Heroines (or heroes, if you prefer!).

I’m slowly getting back into the swing of blogging again and so I thought I’d take it easy on myself with this week’s topic and look at ten new favourite female main characters (FMCs) from my most recent reads! I haven’t read a lot this year so the majority of these characters will be from my 2022 reads but I discovered a lot of new favourites, so I can’t wait to share them with you. If you’ve read these books, you’ll probably notice that many of these female main characters have quite a bit in common. I love FMCs who are headstrong and can hold their own, who have wicked brains, who overcome adversity and defy the odds, who kick absolute ass, who have a wonderful sense of humour, and who simply persevere. I’m listing the characters based on the order read.

Roz from Seven Faceless Saints
The Saint from The Six Deaths of the Saint
Ro from Seven Percent of Ro Devereux
Celine from Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute
Jules from Resting Witch Face

Mercy from The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy
Omega from Omega Morales and the Legend of La Lechuza
Salama from As Long As the Lemon Trees Grow
Signa from Belladonna
Mina from The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea

Have you read any of these books and met any of these female main characters? Who are some of your favourite FMCs?

  1. I’d agree with Belladonna and The Girl Who Fell beneath the Sea! I’ve only read one other book on your list. 😂

  2. I haven’t read any of these but Seven Faceless Saints is on my TBR. The Six Deaths of the Saint sounds interesting!

  3. Great list. As usual, I have not read any of the books but I feel I would love to read “As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow”. Nice to see you here again, Dini.

  4. I haven’t read any of these yet, but several are on my tbr. I especially want to get to Belladonna and The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy. A strong FMC has become almost a must for me nowadays. 🙂 I hope you’re having a better week, Dini!
