Hey, friends! Today I’m back with another reading challenge post and this time it’s for the Choose Your Own Adventure: Year in Aeldia Magical Readathon 2023 Challenge. I find it hard to keep up with all the different challenges so despite following and being subscribed to the Magical Readathon on Twitter and YouTube, I still somehow missed this announcement.
If you’re already joining the Magical Readathon, don’t worry, this is an optional challenge but it looked like so much fun that I knew I had to join. Thankfully, it’s very low-key and only requires one read per month but you do earn guild points each month. 😍 On that note, let’s dive deeper into the path I’m hoping to take and the books I’m hoping to read each month.

My “Choose Your Own Adventure” Goal:
Adopt a cute baby poof-otter

JANUARY
TURN LEFT: START A NEW SERIES

Spice Road by Maiya Ibrahim
Since January is very obviously over in two days, I’ve already read the book for the month! This is the first book in a trilogy and if you’re keen to read my full thoughts on it, you can check out my review!
FEBRUARY
GO TOWARDS A LAKE: WATER ON THE COVER

MARCH
FIGHT A GIANT: BOOK OVER 500 PAGES

APRIL
ORILIUM ACADEMY: BREAK FROM ADVENTURING
MAY
STAY AT ORILIUM: THE BOOK FINISHES ON AN EVEN PAGE NUMBER

JUNE
VISIT THE LOCKED LIBRARY: A BOOK YOU ALREADY OWN

JULY
BREW A POTION OF SLEEPLESS NIGHT: READ WHEN IT’S DARK

AUGUST
ORILIUM ACADEMY: BREAK FROM ADVENTURING
SEPTEMBER
GO ON A DATE: A BOOK WITH ROMANCE

OCTOBER
STARGAZE: STARS ON THE COVER

NOVEMBER
VISIT OLD FAVOUR PASS: WINTER SETTING

DECEMBER
WALLICES WINTER WANIMAL SHOP: A HOLIDAY READ

And that concludes my magical adventuring for the year. Obviously, when I complete my final adventure in December, I’ll have adopted a cute baby poof-otter! Yay! 😍

Are you also taking part in adventuring during your year in Aeldia? If you are, what’s your end goal? Good luck and happy reading, fellow magical readathoners!

What a fun challenge!

I’m excited to read so many of these! 😍 I think I added Every Last Secret to my TBR after reading your review for it—if I’m not mistaken. But it does sound amazing and I can’t wait to give it a read!

You will have to let me know what you’re thinking of it — feel free to DM on Twitter if you want to freak out with someone over parts of it! I just got her upcoming book off NG and I’m super excited to read it.

Let me work on it this weekend. Honestly, I totally just looked at the first option and picked what I had read at that point. I still need to look for Feb. I might look at your post and kind of make my post similar, if that’s okay? I am pretty sure I went the left patch, which I think you did too?

I’m terrible with readathons and what not but this is the only one I’ve managed to stay consistent with cos it’s just so much fun and the world is so amazingly crafted! I hope you do get to join one day 🙂 Thanks, Timy!

I know! Maybe it sounds kinda silly but one of the reasons I love this readathon/challenge so much is because of all the resources G makes. They’re amazing! 😍

YES! You can definitely do it! I love that it’s just one book a month so it’s lowkey 🙂 Happy reading, Ali!

I love this one! I like how it’s just one book per month. I already failed reading the prompt for january but I’ll catch up. I’m “unofficially” participating in that I’m just winging it each month with what to read lol

Omg, same! Haha, one book per month is lowkey and doable which is one of the things I look for with these readathons/challenges cos I’m generally terrible at them. As a mood reader, I totally get winging it each month and if I’m being honest, that’s likely what’ll happen with me too, haha! 😂 Good luck and happy reading!
