So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: Books On My Summer 2022 To-Read List
I’m actually not a seasonal reader because I live in the tropics and we technically only have one season, plus I’m very much a mood reader, but this year I’m actually participating in the 20 Books of Summer Challenge! I don’t want to repeat that list of books so I’ll be listing ten other books that I’m also hoping to read this summer.

Nural and the Immortal Palace
Ariadne
When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain
It’s All In How You Fall
I’m So (Not) Over You

Hooked
The Kingdom of Copper
Valor
The Inadequate Heir
Maggie Moves On

Are you a seasonal reader? What are some of the books you’re planning to read this summer (northern)/ winter (southern)?

I’m reading Malice in July! It’s out of my comfort zone, but I have a good feeling about it.

I hope you love it! It was out of my comfort zone too cos I don’t read a lot of adult fantasy of this calibre but it was so good! I understand the John Gwynne hype now 😍

You know, I always wonder about how the seasonal stuff works for people in places where they’re aren’t really seasons. xD it’s all very 4-season-northern-hemisphere based with cold December winter and hot July summer. Anyway. I had a bit sly grin when I saw Kingdom of Copper on there 😁 do you think you’ll put that one off like the first book or is your excitement still there? I feel like series can be easy to drop unless you’re SUPER into it. Also the taking and title for It’s All In How You Fall is SO CUTE. I adore it ☺️

Haha, yep, all one season (well, two if you count hot and hotter + rain) 😂 But it’s nice to dream of going back to living in a place with four seasons. I miss cold weather and snuggling in sweaters! I really hope I *don’t* put off Kingdom of Copper cos I feel like it’s been on my TBR for ages and I did end up enjoying the end of the first book A LOT. Fingers crossed I do get to it soon cos I do really wanna read it! 😂

Maybe just re-read your review of your find yourself putting it off haha. I will say that I thought book #2 was actually my favorite of the trilogy. 😯

Can I admit to be a little jealous of your climate? Living in a tropical place sounds amazing.
May you enjoy all of these books. They look fun. 🙂

I would be happy to trade for a little bit of cold weather every once in a while… But I guess sometimes the grass is always greener especially when it comes to weather! 😉

I love Lucy Score’s email updates and newsletters, and yet I’ve yet to read one of her books. LOL Maggie Moves On sounds like a lot of fun, though!

LOL, her newsletters are awesome and I have so many of her books on my “wishlist” but still have only read one of them. I can’t wait to read Maggie though cos I’ve heard so many good things about it 😍

I’m kind of a seasonal reader only in that at holiday time (or winter) I sometimes feel like those kinds of books. But I’m much more a mood reader. 🙂 I think ariadne looks great- I remember seeing that one and thinking yeah I wanna read that!

I had to find more books since I’m doing the 20 too. I mean.. it’s not like it’s hard since my TBR is hundreds of books long. haha. So… I KEEP FORGETTING to tell you. Chris started Kingdom of Copper when we went on vaca. I think he’s about halfway through. He keeps joking and asking how far you are in the buddy read with him. HAHAHA.

LMAO has Chris finished it yet!? I haven’t even started it yet even though it’s been on my TBR for what feels like ages?! I’m SO behind with all my reading! Is he enjoying it (I hope it’s a yes lol)?! And omg, yeah, I really wish we could read all the books at once cos the moods always just hit me and I want to pick everything up at the same time 😂

Haha! Nope… he’s about 1/3 of the way, I think. He hasn’t been able to read much the last week either. Yes, he is enjoying it!! So, that’s good bc maybe you will too!! ❤ I know, the mood has been killer, especially, with like the end of the world. Ugh, I need a nap. lol

Oooh, I didn’t even realize 20 Books of Summer was going on already! I have such FOMO now. xD It’s horrible. I always enjoyed doing it in the past and working to catch up on reading. Hope you have fun with it!
I really want to read The Kingdom of Copper, too! I also need to read the entire The Faithful and the Fallen series, especially since I loved the follow-up trilogy! Except, I sort of want to read Gwynne’s newest series first. xD Because I cannot resist a book with a giant dragon on the cover (surprise, surprise).

Haha, it is! I only knew about it cos Leslie mentioned doing it together 😂 I hope that I am able to finish the 20 books… You can still always join, y’know! 😉 Ooh, I also want to read Gwynne’s newest series too and I recently got the first book for my bday so I’m very excited to dive in. I hope you enjoy the books, Sammie!
