So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: Comfort Reads (Share which books or kinds of books you turn to when you need to escape. You can either share specific titles if you love to re-read, or you could share qualities of books you look for in a comfort read.)
When I think of comfort reads, I think of the books that made me feel all warm, fuzzy, loved and well, comforted. They’re the books that I’d want to read again if I was feeling down, weird or anxious. The ones that made me laugh when I needed it and maybe even shed a few cathartic tears if I also need to. I’m not much of a re-reader but these are ten books that I’d definitely love to pick up again if I’m looking for a good escape and a comforting read because of how they gave me that sense of cosiness when I read them the first time!

Pride and Prejudice
Persuasion
👆🏽 these two Austens are the ones I’ve returned to time and again! 👆🏽
Legends & Lattes
With the Fire On High
Chef’s Kiss

A Psalm for the Wild-Built
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating
Sorcery of Thorns
Sorry I’m Late I Didn’t Want to Come
Everything for You
👆🏽 But honestly, literally anything by Chloe Liese is a comfort read for me 🥹

What are some of your favourite comfort reads? Would any of these make your comfort reads list? I’d love to know your faves so I can check them out too! 😃

I feel like we have the same definition of comfort reads because so many of these are also on my list! This makes me want to read Sorcery of Thorns!

How excited are you for the sequel to A Psalm for the Wild-Built that’s coming out next month? I’ve already requested it from my local library and hope to be at the top of the waitlist once they start sending it out.

Liese’s series would be a comfort read for me as well. I could reread or relisten to that series over and over again.

P&P and Persuasion are my favorite Austen books. I’ve been on the hunt for some great Persuasion retellings as they always have that perfect blend of yearning and swooniness.
