It’s time for another Friday Favorites hosted by Kibby @ Something of the Book! This weekly meme is where you get to share a list of all your favourites based on the list of prompts on Kibby’s page. Sounds fun, right? This week’s prompt is: favorite reads of 2019! Well, I guess I can no longer afford to keep avoiding thinking about this question because… The year is very quickly drawing to a close. It’s the last Friday of 2019 (!!!) and I guess there’s a slim chance of more contenders for my top spot! I’m wondering if I should divvy this up into genres just like I did last week because I honestly don’t know if I can narrow it down to just 10 books in total? So I’m going to look at the top five (max) reads for these genres: Contemporary, Thrillers/Horrors, Fantasy, Romance, Non-Fiction, Graphic Novels… Let’s get to it…
Contemporary
Thrillers/Horror
Fantasy
Romance
Non-Fiction
Graphic Novels

How bad am I at narrowing down my top reads?! 😅 I just can’t do it, friends! It feels like I’m neglecting the other amazing books I’ve also read this year and it makes me feel guilty as heck! 🤣
So, what are your favorite reads this year?

Evelyn Hugo and The Nightingale were some of my top reads from previous years. Both were so amazing! Verity is one of my favorite reads of this year, too. Constantly kept me guessing. The Simple Wild, The Bride Test, Josh & Hazel… loved them! Looks like it was a great year in reading! 🙂

Yay! So happy to hear that you also loved so many of the books that I did. All of them were just such fantastic reads and gave me all the feels! It was a pretty great reading year, and it seems like it’s been the same for you too (despite the slump now)! Hope 2020 continues to be a great reading year for both of us too, Tanya! 😍

I don’t own the one you feature, but I did add a Taylor Jenkins Reid contemporary to my shelf this year. Hopefully I’ll read it in 2020! “The Flatshare” is also on my shelf, and while I haven’t read it, I do think it sounds like SO MUCH FUN! 🙂

Yay, I’m so happy to see The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, The Last Time I Lied, and The Bride Test on your list. These are some of my biggest favorites of the past few years; not to mention that Hoang and Sager are also among my top favorite authors. 🙂 After loving The Lost Man by Jane Harper, I’ve been planning on reading her other novels, so it’s good to see The Dry mentioned here. Great post, and I’m happy you found so many good reads in 2019!
