I’ve found myself in a suddenly very fickle reading mood. I haven’t continued my buddy read since putting it aside last week, and I haven’t continued the romance fantasy I started either. I’ve picked up multiple books too including titles I started months ago and am so close to finishing. I’ve already finished some titles this weekend and others I’m wondering whether I’m really in the mood for. Not sure what’s going on in my tired brain but my mood has left me with this ongoing pile:

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with Anatomy. This is my buddy read with Leslie and we’ve been making slow progress because life. Despite the slightly gruesome scenes that have made me feel surprisingly queasy (I’m usually ok with/indifferent to them), my curiosity to see the story unfold is still high. We love a curious FMC and I feel for Hazel. I’m also curious about Jack!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed reading Mirrored Heavens. Becky and I are onto the final book of this series buddy read! Despite starting it on Friday, I haven’t made as much progress as I hoped but I’m loving all the POVs we’re getting and answers! We’re slowly getting answers to things that happened in the past and about the magic! 😂

Sorry if this update is more rant and less book/blog-ish 😂

I’ll be spending my Sunday night in bed reading The Prospects. This came in one of the final Illumicrate Afterlight boxes that I subscribed to and it’s a beautiful, very sporty edition. I hardly know about baseball and this goes into more detail than I expected, but I’m still able to enjoy it and I’m curious to see where it goes!

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed reading Blood Price. I’ve been excited, and admittedly a bit nervous, to start this because it’s written by the wonderful Nicole Evans, aka Thoughts Stained in Ink. I’m so lucky that I get to read an early copy as part of the tour for Nicole’s debut! 25% in and I’m really enjoying it but I want to throw down for Ashilde so bad. Girl is really going through it and my heart hurts! Have I teared up twice already? YES 😭

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed reading Nine Tailed. This is an ARC that I got post-release and I’ve been looking forward to reading it ever since. I have to admit it’s a bit… Messy but I love all the Korean mythology. I just wish the romance wasn’t so intrusive in the plot!

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed finishing How Not to Drown In a Glass of Water (hopefully). I’m reading a physical copy alongside the audiobook, and the narrator is amazing. How she brings Cara to life has made this such an enjoyable reading experience! I’m keen to finish it tonight if I have the time between work.

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed reading Are You Nobody Too? by Tina Cane. I’m reading this MG novel in verse for a blog tour spot next week. I’m roughly 20% in and while reading in verse makes it a fast read, I’m not sure I’m connecting to it as much as I expected. Keen to see where it goes though!

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed reading A Rose Among Thorns by Ash Fitzsimmons. I’m reading this for a blog tour next week. It’s an indie fantasy novella, so it shouldn’t take long to read. The start was rough for me but I’m enjoying the banter and am keen to see where it goes 🙂
