I just finished another one of my reads earlier this evening, so now I think I’m going to pick up another one of my ongoing reads, 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World. I started this on a whim last week and it reeled me in pretty quickly. I think I’ve been putting off going back to it because the topics are hard, but I’m keen to see where the story goes. Shafak’s writing is gorgeous!

I just finished my last read and I’m not entirely sure what I’ll pick up next but I’m leaning toward the new Hazel Mack that dropped last week. It’s a monster cowboy romance and her stories are always a fun, cute, and sexy time. I’ve been highly anticipating Live Love Lasso so I might just pick it up now!

I’m spending this Sunday night in bed with Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan. This’ll be my first buddy read with Leslie this year and I’m excited and anxious to dive in. You know when you start a new book and immediately get that “oh, this is gonna be good” feeling? I’m only two chapters in right now and I can already tell that this is going to have me emotionally twisted up, and hopefully it’ll be in the best way! I’m going for an immersive read with this after testing out the audiobook.

I’m kicking off this Sunday post with another “I don’t know what I’m reading next” moment because once again, I finished my previous read earlier in the evening, and now I’m in that weird headspace of wanting to pick up something else immediately, but also wanting to linger a bit in the space the previous book left me. Here are a couple of titles that I’m thinking about picking up next:

I finished my last read earlier this evening and now I’m trying to decide what I want to read next. I want to pick up something by a Black author for Black History Month, and I’m tossing it up between the five below. I’ve read The Nickel Boys when it first came out, but I’ve been meaning to re-read it. The Write Escape and What It Means will fulfill reading challenge prompts for this month. I’m unsure what I’m in the mood for, tbh!

I haven’t had the chance to read at all today (more details on that below) but I plan to try to at least read a few pages of Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh. This is one of the books on my Illumicrate unread stack I’ll be buddy reading it with Chris. Since I had pretty great success with buddy reading backlist Owlcrate books last year, I thought this’d be a fun way for us to get motivated and move some of these books off the TBR pile!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed reading A Man for Mrs. Claus. Now, I know this cover’s illustration is… A little raunchy, which might lead people to think that this is all smut erotica and not a contemporary romance. I’m pleasantly surprised to find that, so far (36%), it’s not smutty at all. There’s plenty of flirting and innuendo, but the “The Bachelorette with Mrs. Claus” vibe is well-written, sexy, and a lot of fun. I’m totally here for it!

I’ve got three reads on at the minute. Better the Devil hasn’t really been holding my attention, Razorblade Tears is making me a bit anxious (although it’s so good and readable!), and so I started a historical romance last night and it’s actually making me want to read, lol. So I think I might spend more time with Unveiled this Sunday night!

Hello, friends! I’ve found myself in a little situation where I don’t know what to read next. Sound familiar from 2025? The mood remains the same and it’s driving me a little batty now… 🙃 I haven’t been reading much lately, and I even have reads that I’m meant to be reading but just not latching on to. I’ve spent the majority of my Sunday sitting in a salon chair continuing Royal Assassin, and I think I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday night with it too! I’ve reached the halfway mark now and this has been a tougher read than the first book, but still good. It’s definitely a book I’m enjoying reading slowly, and what’s even better is how surprisingly easy I’ve been finding it to keep all the characters and events in order, when normally I would’ve forgotten half the details after not picking it up for so long. It’s a win in my book! 😂
