Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week, I’ve finished 1 book, one of my oldest overdue ARCs (I’m embarrassed by this and thrilled at the same time, lol)! π«£π

The Raven and the Dove (The Raven and the Dove #1) by Kaitlyn Davis β β β β ΒΌ
For years, I’ve tried reading this, and I could never make it past the first chapter, but I was determined not to DNF this ARC. I picked this up on a whim last week and spent three days working my way past the first two chapters… And I ended up really enjoying it! π₯Ή It’s peak angst, but following the explosion of absolute and infuriating madness at the end, I need to know what happens next!

I’ve got 3 reads on at the moment, two of which are non-fictionβwho am I even!? π

- Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland β’ 50% β’ This has been my workout read (audiobook), so I’ve made little progress since last week, as I couldn’t work out. Though I hope to finish it this week, as I’ve come to the final part of the book!
- The Library of the Unwritten β’ 30% β’ Another book that’s been on my TBR for ages and that I picked up on a whim. I was immediately reeled in by the concept, and I’m fully invested in seeing where the story goes. Leto is my fave so far, though I find Claire intriguing! π₯Ί
- Dead Mountain β’ 13% β’ I immediately went out to get a copy after seeing Aj mention it in her TTT post with adventure non-fiction recommendations. I started it and immediately wanted to binge it. I might save it for the weekend when I can sit through it in one go, cos it’s fascinating, and I need to know what happened asap!

Let’s see where the mood takes me but these are still some possibilities!

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!

Yay for finishing overdue ARCs! I have way too many of them, too. I will finish them… one day. π

Yay, indeed! It’s been… A very long time but I’m so glad that I persevered and got it done. It was worth it π€£ I still have plenty more in the overdue ARC list and hopefully, they will start to get read soon too, haha.

Well done for not giving up on your ARC. It’s really great that you’ve ended up enjoying it after all that time.

I had a feeling that it’d be something I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, it took a lot of years and … Plenty of perseverance to finally get to the stage where I can say it was worth it… But I think it was worth it π

How many books are part of the In Death series? I hope you’re still enjoying them a lot and of course, all your other reads too π

Dead Mountain sounds like a very fascinating book. I am going to add it to my TBR.

It is! It’s about the mysterious death of a group of experienced young hikers in what’s known as Dead Mountain. It’s a short read tooβjust a little over 250+ pages maybe? I can’t wait to dive back into it this weekend for a good binge!

Perseverance really pays off. It’s great you had the patience to keep trying that book, and you were rewarded.

I was very close to giving up and calling it a DNF but… I’m glad that I persevered. Sometimes it really does pay π Now let’s see how long it’ll take me to read the rest of the books in that series (or at least the next one, lol)

Yeah, I’m a bit embarrassed to admit it but the ARC is definitely that old! π«£ Haha I’m glad that I finally got into it and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Have you read the series?

I think at this point you can drop the A of the ARC xD glad it was finally the right time to enjoy it though! Also I’m so excited to see The Library of the Unwritten on your list as I don’t think I have ever seen anyone else read that and I don’t really know why? it’s been a while for me though but I remember the ideas in it were very interestingly done. and ONE DARK WINDOW! My book club read that last year and it was an absolute winner in a dark-ish fantasy novel. Pretty sure 80% of us or more read the second book almost immediately so make sure that’s available if you start book one xD

Ahahaha, yeah, definitely can drop the A in ARC π ππ«£π€£
I saw a lot of people reading it back when Library of the Unwritten came out and there was a lot of love and hype around it. I can understand why and I’m really enjoying reading it! I’m also very excited to read One Dark Window. Everyone raves about it and I’m keen to see if I’ll love it just the same. I do have the second book ready for when I finally read the first, lol.

Woohoo!! It’s always awesome when you pick up a book again and love it so much more than you thought! I hope you have an amazing week. I’m thinking about re-reading One Dark Window, if you want to BR it! I need to finish the second book, but it’s been so long!!

Yes, I’m totally down for a buddy read of One Dark Window. We’ve got a few coming up but I’m also up for doing simultaneous BR reads if you want π Let me message you. If we don’t do it in May I’m also down to do it in June, hehe.
