#TopTenTuesday: Books You’d be a Fool Not to Read!

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Books You’d be a Fool Not to Read (Happy April Fool’s Day! In honor of this silly holiday, share the books you think people must read for whatever reason. They could be your favorites, books you deem classics, books that you learned something important from, books you wish you’d read sooner, etc. You could even narrow it down to a specific genre and share the must-reads for that genre. Get creative!)

Happy April Fool’s Day?! This topic is perfect for gushing about some of my favourite books and that I (obviously) think everyone should read because they are amazing! These are a mix of fantasy, romance, literary and surprisingly, non-fiction too. While I wouldn’t call you a fool for not reading these books, I do think you’d really be missing out by not reading them! 🤭 Also, these aren’t the “top 10” of my all-time favourites (I don’t have one) but they are in my all-time favourites.

Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come – Non-Fiction
The Death of Vivek Oji – Literary Fiction
Open Water – Literary Fiction
Heartstopper – YA Contemporary Graphic Novel
Seven Percent of Ro Devereux – YA Contemporary

The Green Bone Saga – Adult Fantasy
Seven Days in June – Adult Romance
The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue – Adult Fantasy
With the Fire on High – YA Contemporary
The Goddess of Nothing at All – Adult Fantasy (Norse Mythology)

Have you read any of these books or are they on your TBR? What favourites of yours do you think people need to read ASAP?

  1. I feel bad for only having read two of these 🙈 but if it helped I loved both. With The Fire On High was wonderful and had such a sense of voice to the narrative and Addie LaRue is definitely one of my favourites of all time 😍😍😍 I just realised I said I’d tell you about Bones and it was fantastic. It’s more character than plot driven but that really works as the characters and ties between them are fantastic. Plus the exploration of such a lengthy history was superb 😍

I have a couple of the others on my TBR and have taken screenshots of two others to look up later. The one I absolutely have to get to this year is Jade City though. I feel like a failure of a fantasy fan with that still on  my TBR 🙈 plus so many bloggers I talk to love it.

  2. I have not read any of these, believe it or not. I do have Addie LaRue on my TBR shelf, though. I will be checking out a couple of the other ones. I know my TBR shelf will get many new additions today. Nice list Dini.
