Since I’m posting this after September 1, the ✨2024 Orilium Autumn Equinox✨ has already begun and I’m excited to get back to it! It might be overambitious of me to still participate when I know just how busy this month will be but the FOMO is real and I don’t want to miss out on one of my favourite annual reading challenges!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, our lovely host G @Book Roast created this Beginners Guide to the Magical Readathon, just in case you’re interested in starting your own journey to Orilium!
Let’s see what this latest semester has in store for us, shall we?

CHARACTER BACKGROUND

Guild Tier Points: 370

- Name: Meeska Shonara
- Guild: House of the Arcane
- Calling: Illusionist Rogue
- Status: Adept
- Background: Urban
- Province: Kerador
- Heritage: Earthling (Fire)
- Conduit: Staff
- Legacy: Pocket Dimension

As I mentioned in my Spring Equinox post, Meeska has decided to pursue the Mage Hunter calling this year because they think their Illusionist Rogue capabilities complement it well. I realise I didn’t do my usual Spring Equinox wrap-up so here’s a quick recap of what I read to successfully complete the semester:
- Elemental Studies: Bend Toward the Sun
- Spells & Incantations: Promise of Darkness
- Conjuration: Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone
- Restoration: The Starless Sea

Orilium Autumn Equinox 2024 Prompts + Possibility Pile
Meeska needs to achieve these grades (and read six books) to complete the Autumn Equinox:
- Spells & Incantations
- O: Charm – Dancing Stars → 5-star predictions
- Q: Spell – Memory Clip → Book shown in any of G’s videos
- D: Incantation – Carbon Copy → Steal a book from another TBR
- Conjuration
- O: Conjure – Bats → Bat on the cover
- Q: Conjure – Laurels → Book that won an award
- Restoration
- O: Night Dew → Night sky on the cover
As always, being an epic mood reader possibility piles are the way to go for maximum flexibility, lol!

SPELLS & INCANTATIONS:
O—Charm: Dancing Stars → 5-star predictions

Q—Spell: Memory Clip → Book shown in any of G’s videos

D—Incantation: Carbon Copy → Steal a book from another TBR

CONJURATION:
O—Conjure: Bats → Bat on the cover
I’ve surprisingly already made a start on this prompt so I’m reading A Rival Most Vial for this prompt! It was hard to find a book with a bat on the cover (yes, the bat on here definitely counts! 😉)
Q—Conjure: Laurels → Book that won an award

RESTORATION:
O—Night Dew → Night sky on the cover

I’m hoping to participate in the Autumn Equinox side quest as well since I didn’t manage to do it in the Spring Equinox but let’s see—I’m not going to get even more overly ambitious cos this is already a lot, and I’m woefully terrible at even glancing at my possibility piles. 😂

And that’s it for the 2024 Orilium Autumn Equinox! I’ve had some of these books on my TBR for ages and hope to get to them this month—let’s see! 😍 Who else is heading back to Orilium this semester? What are you most looking forward to?

Smart idea giving yourself options, Dini! I might try that myself next time because my mood reading has been becoming more pronounced lately. I hope you enjoy the books you end up reading 😊

The Magical Readathon sounds pretty interesting! I might just create a character and go for it!

Good Luck, Dini, and have fun. It might help you destress when you get home each day.

Good luck! I should totally copy your possibility pile style, because I already decided that I was not in the mood for any of the 8 books on my tbr. 😂 Being a mood reader definitely has its difficulties. 😅

I hope you’re having a lovely time during the Magical Readathon, I can’t believe it’s already almost over 🥺 I hope you had a 5-star read for your 5-star prediction! I love the prompt and was lucky that I actually got a 5-star read out of it 🥰
Did you end up reading You, Again? The cover gives off such fall vibes 🍂
