#TopTenTuesday: Reasons I’m Thankful for Books

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Reasons Why I’m Thankful for Books (In honor of Thanksgiving in the USA.)

I was tempted to skip this topic because can I come up with 10 reasons!? But I decided to just go for it anyway and see what comes to mind when I think about why I’m thankful for books. Here we go!

I’m thankful for the peace and comfort books bring me.

I’m thankful for the friends I’ve made through books and reading in the book/blogging community!

I’m thankful for all I’ve learned from reading—even from the most random and unlikely books.

I’m thankful for the different perspectives and experiences I can learn about through books.

I’m thankful for the space books give me to escape!

I’m thankful for the joy book collecting brings me.

I’m thankful for how books make me feel less lonely and more seen.

I’m thankful that books give me a good reason to stay at home and bask in my introverted ways without having to think up wild excuses for people to leave me alone, lol. 😂

Okay, so this isn’t 10 reasons and I can probably think of more at another time but right now my brain is completely fried from a heavy day. Can you relate to any of these reasons fellow book lovers? What are some of the reasons why you’re thankful for books?

  1. Yes to all of these! Especially the one about basking in your introverted ways. I feel that one, for sure. 🥰
