The Afternoon Tea Book Tag

Hello, friends. It’s a slothful Saturday afternoon here! I browsed my bookmarked book tags for an easy tag to do and came across the Afternoon Tea Book Tag I saved over a year ago after seeing it on Elle @ Unwrapping Words.

This tag was originally created by The Incessant Bookworm.

Finger Sandwiches – A book you savoured every minute of

Bombshell by Sarah MacLean

This was my most recent read and I truly enjoyed every minute of it! The chemistry, the angst, the swoon-worthiest romance! 🥰

Scone – A b00k everyone should own

I’m honestly not sure what I would suggest as a book everyone should own! 😂 Especially because everyone’s tastes and preferences are so different and it’s such a personal thing, too. Welp, boring answer, sorry!

Biscuits – A book that can be read in one sitting

The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo

I loved this novella so much! So beautifully written, engaging and unexpectedly powerful.

My review

Patisserie – A book that is light and easy to read

The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O’Neill

This graphic novel is such a feel-good, comforting, light and easy read. Highly recommended for all ages! 💜

Showstopper – A book that blew you away

Jade City by Fonda Lee

It’s been a minute since I mentioned this book/series so I’m throwing this out there again: The Green Bone Saga! This trilogy blew me out of the water. I freaking love it so much! 😭

Tea – A heartwarming classic

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I don’t read a lot of classics and I’m not sure what counts as a classic now. So I’m going for my tried and true comfort read!

I won’t be tagging anyone to do this but if you’re keen to give it a go, feel free to link back so I can see your answers! 😍 Have you read any of these books? Are they also favourites?
