Hideaway Heart (Cherry Tree Harbor #2) by Melanie Harlow ★★★½
I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this! Harlow really delivered on chemistry and relationship development. As always, it was instalust and things get steamy quickly but I thought it was well-balanced with moments of our MCs getting to know each other. It was fun seeing the couple and their small family from the first book as well!
Magic Burns, Magic Strikes, Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels #2-4) by Ilona Andrews ★★★★☆
Hello, my name is Dini and I’m obsessed with Kate Daniels. These books are so addictive and easily binge-able! This is definitely not the paranormal romance I expected and it’s more an urban fantasy mystery, but the romance that’s there is *chefs kiss*! Seriously, ALL. THE. FEELS! 😍😂🥵
Wrapped with a Beau by Lillie Vale ★★★★☆
Are you looking for a heartwarming and cosy holiday romance set in a small town chock full of the most welcoming, quirky, and endearing characters? Look no further! Vale did a fantastic job making Piney Peaks come to life and making me want to move there! 💜
- Magic Slays → 2% → This book 5 in the series and yep, I’m happy to be back in Kate’s world. 😂
- Rival Radio → 62% → Haven’t returned to this yet!
- The Stand-In → 16% → Haven’t returned to this yet!

Yes! I definitely liked it better than the first book. Might’ve been the close/forced proximity and (loose) bodyguard tropes as well as slight hate to love vibes, too. 😃

I’ve been curious about the Kate Daniels series for a long time as well and now that I’ve read some of the books, I get the love for it. I’m glad I finally picked it up! I hope you enjoy it if you do too 😃

I’m glad you are enjoying the Kate Daniels series so much. Unfortunately I ended up DNFing the first book. It just wasn’t working for me.

Ah, I’m sorry to hear that the first book didn’t work for you! I can definitely understand why because of how it just throws readers in the deep end and then lets the world-building unfold slowly afterward.

I’ve heard so many good things about Ilona Andrews books, but I haven’t read anything by her. Maybe I’ll start with this series!

Yeah, I don’t know if it’s accurate to say this is their most popular series but I think it’s the one that I see recommended the most often! It’s definitely a ride 😍 I hope you enjoy it if you try it!
