#TopTenTuesday: Warm fuzzy thankful feelings!

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a Thanksgiving Freebie!

I wasn’t sure what topic I wanted to do for this year’s Thanksgiving freebie but then I thought about the feeling I get when I think about the things I’m thankful for and that made me think about the books that made me feel that way this year. When I think of the things I’m thankful for I feel warm, fuzzy and just full of love and appreciation, so I decided to highlight ten books I’ve read this year that made me feel that way.

I guess in a way, it’s kind of similar to last week’s topic with the “aww” feelings but since I went rogue last week, I’m not repeating anything—*phew!* 😂 On that note, let’s get to these books… I’m listing them based on reading order with the first being the most recently read!

Don’t Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross
The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen
Off the Ice by Jaqueline Snowe
The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh
Everything for You by Chloe Liese

A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
Chef’s Kiss by Jarrett Melendez
Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree
Blackout by Various Authors
Heartstopper Series by Alice Oseman

I’m going to add two bonus audiobooks here because I absolutely *adored* them and these stories made my heart squee!

A Thief in the Night by KJ Charles

Seatmate by Cara Bastone

What books you read this year gave you the “warm fuzzy thankful” feelings? Have you read any of these books and did they make you feel the same as me?

  1. Love books that give me warm and fuzzy feelings! I felt the same about Heartstopper, Hart and Mercy and The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea. Legends & Lattes and Off The Ice are on my TBR, so already looking forward to those!

  2. Books are indeed something wonderful to be thankful for! I sometimes wonder what I’d do without them. Becky Chambers’ books are favorites of mine, although I still need to read the Monk and Robots, and Legends and LAttes is honestly getting so much buzz I now want to see what’s what!

    • Can never be more thankful that I have books in my life and that there are amazing books that just make me feel so happy! 🥰 I still have only read one book by Chambers to date but I have her whole Wayfarers series on my TBR! I can’t wait to read it. And YES! Legends and Lattes is so good… I think you’d enjoy it 😃

  3. The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea 😍 I loved that book so much! I’m always thankful for when a book makes me feel some way. It’s just the best feeling!

  4. Honestly, I don’t read an awful lot that makes me feel warm and fuzzy? My usual go-to genres (historical fiction and fantasy) don’t lend themselves well to the warm and fuzzies! I’d say the closest I get to warm and fuzzy is humorous memoirs, I’ve read a couple of those this year, the most recent being Lauren Graham’s Talking As Fast As I Can which was so much fun!

  5. Such a great choice for this week! I can’t wait to get to Everything For You and Heartstoppers 3 and 4. Both of these authors probably would have made my list, too. ❤

  6. The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea is perfect for this list! 🙂

I really need to read Legends and Lattes, apparently. I’ve seen it on several TTT lists recently and it looks so cute. 🙂
