Hello friends, I’m back today with another month’s edition for The Birthstone Book Covers series created by one of my favourites, Leslie. She created this at the start of 2022 and was born out of her curiosity about birthstone colours and it’s a fun way to show different book covers/titles corresponding to that month’s birthstone.
The Rules
- Mention the creator (Leslie @ Books Are The New Black ) and link back to me so I can see your post!
- Pick 5+ book covers that match the current month’s Birthstone.
- HAVE FUN!
- Nominate people if you want!

The August birthstone is peridot!
Oof, ngl friends, it was harder to find book covers with this specific shade of green on my Goodreads lists. I decided to look at books that fall in the different shades of peridot and with that in mind, I managed to find a few! These are a mix of books I’ve read and those still on my TBR.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower
Normal People
The Giving Tree
Juniper Hill
The Boy, the Wolf and the Stars

Remote Control
Britt-Marie Was Here
Detransition, Baby
Boy, Snow, Bird
The Gilded Ones

That’s it for the August Peridot birthstone covers. Don’t hesitate to join in if you want! What other covers can you think of that has this specific shade of light green?

Yeah, that’s a funky shade of green to try and match. lol But great job of finding so many choices. I love the cover of Juniper Hill. I adore Devney Perry but have not started that series yet.

Haha, thanks! It was harder than I thought it was gonna be but I do like some of the cover choices I found 😂 I still have yet to read a Devney Perry book but I have the first two books of this series on my TBR and I can’t wait to dive in. I also love the covers for this series!

Britt Marie was my first Backman book. I got it at BEA and Backman autographed it (he is such a nice man). Loved that book! Such pretty shades of green up there.

Ooh, I still haven’t read anything by Backman but I pretty much have all of his books on my TBR? 😂 Ngl, I’m pretty intimidated by all the hype surrounding his books because they’re so well loved. It’s awesome that you got to meet him and get a signed book!

His stories are so beautiful. Really, I am so glad I gave his books a go. I would say standouts are Beartown and Ove, but they were all pretty amazing.

It is a pretty colour but such a unique shade that it was a bit tough to find covers to match it well. I love the cover for Remote Control 😍
