#TopTenTuesday: Gimme All the Sprayed Edges!

So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: Bookish Merchandise I’d Love to Own but I wasn’t really vibing with the topic so I decided to put a spin and look at Beautiful Books I’d Love to Own!

Over the last year or so I’ve slowed down on purchasing any old physical book and have taken as many opportunities as I can to get my hands on beautiful special edition books! I’m definitely lucky to be able to afford these special editions when international shipping charges are often heartbreakingly high but I work hard to indulge in my love for books so, why not?! But I digress… I don’t know about you but I’m not just a sucker for gorgeous book covers but I’m wild for all the stunning sprayed edges, too! 😍

Here are a few that I would *love* to get my hands on plus the shops that they come from, y’know, just in case you feel like indulging too! 😉

  1. These are all so pretty! I really love the Heartstopper, Daughter of the Moon Goddess, and A Magic Steeped in Poison special editions. I don’t really have many special editions with sprayed edges, but I couldn’t pass up getting the Green Bone Saga set from Illumicrate. 🙂

  2. Girl yeeeeessss. I’ve only recently discovered my passion for stenciled and sprayed edged. Very nearly spent wayyy too much on the fairyloot edition of Daughter of the Moon Goddess. Talked myself down though haha

    • OMG I’m a little jelly about everyone who got the TDofMG FL edition! I’ve only ever managed to snag myself one FL SE and it was for The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden and it’s absolutely STUNNING but also was a good chunk of $$$! 😅 And still, I want more haha so many pretty editions, Jennifer!

      • I’ve only recently developed the craze but yeaaahhhh I’m starting to be swayed by them 😍 My issue with the sub boxes is that I don’t care at all about the “swag” which is just trash to me, so $65 for just the book when I don’t even know which book or if I’ll like it is too much for me. /siiigh….

        • Oh, fair enough. I’m a fan of bookish swag (I think I just like *things* in general lol) but I also don’t have access to nice merch so I always enjoy the things that I get in boxes. Some things are definitely not 100% my thing but I’ve used 90-95% of what I’ve got so far so it’s a definite win for me 😃

  3. I LOVE sprayed edges!! I want all of these. I already own most of them but those sprayed edges are like everything! Haha. The US is seriously lacking in sprayed edges! Owlcrate needs to up its game and do more than just a color every once in a while too!

    • ME TOO LESLIE, ME TOO! 🥹 I think at least one of these Etsy stores is based in the US? I definitely don’t see them here in Indonesia 🤣 I wish I had such talent! I defo think OC needs to up their sprayed/stencilled edge game cos the FL and IC editions are too stunning!

  4. Oh wow, these are all so gorgeous! I don’t often buy physical copies anymore either, but for these I would definitely make an exception. Especially that version of Daughter of the Moon Goddess *heart eyes*

    • Yep, I’ve definitely slowed my roll with physical copies but I can’t seem to resist stunning SEs 🤣 I pay a lot more but ugh, they’re also so worth it!? This version of DotMG is too beautiful 😍

    • I actually haven’t seen *that* many gilt-edge books IRL but the ones I have seen are absolutely stunning. Would definitely like to own at least one with gilt edges in my lifetime 🤣

    • Which edition of TDotMG do you have? Was it from FL? I’ve seen the FL edition of Kingdom of the Wicked and it’s absolutely stunning! FL really does have so many stunning ones though 🥲

    • I’m finding that it’s definitely a problem cos I don’t want to chance ruining their perfection in any way so I end up pushing off reading these books even longer! 🤣 They’re just so pretty…

  6. Sprayed Edges are absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, there aren’t that many for the kind of books I read and I prefer paperbacks. Yet, I will get som e in future. I hope. LOL

Thanks for visiting my TTT this week where I posted about the bookish merchandise I already own because there are so many bookish items I’d love.
