#TopTenTuesday: Books I Enjoy But Haven’t Mentioned On My Blog

So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s prompt is: Books I Enjoyed, but Have Never Mentioned On My Blog

Hmm, I think this week’s topic is gonna be pretty easy (hope this doesn’t come around to bite me lol) because there are lots of books that I’ve loved and never mentioned on here. I think! Anyway, let’s head to Goodreads to find some titles… *5 minutes later* Okay, that wasn’t too painful! I rated the following books 4-5 stars and as far as I can remember have never mentioned them on my blog! I read most of these years ago so I admittedly remember close to nothing about many of them and I also have the feeling that if I read them now my ratings would be drastically different… But that’s neither here nor there! 😬 Here’s what I’ve got:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Picture of Dorian Gray
Ender’s Game
The Tenth Circle
Eragon

The Shoemaker’s Wife
Love & Misadventure
No Matter the Wreckage
How to Find Love In A Bookshop
Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet

Have you read any of these books or are they on your TBR? Did you enjoy them too? What books have you loved but haven’t raved about on your blog/book spaces? Shout your recommendations at me, please! 😍

  1. Eragon is the only one I’ve read and liked it a lot, although I don’t remember much about it. It and the rest of the series needs a re-read at some point. The only other books I can think of that I’ve read, loved, and not really talked about much on my blog are any of those written by Kate Morton. I read the majority of her catalogue in my late teens/early twenties and I really want to go back and re-read them.

    • I also remember close to nothing about Eragon but I gave it 5-stars so it must’ve been great 😂 I have a Kate Morton book on my TBR and it sounds great so I’m looking forward to giving her a try!

  2. I’m glad you had such an easy topic. Once you get to my ripe old age, it’s not that easy anymore, I think I’ve blogged about every book I ever held in my hands. LOL So, my TTT this week is all about trilogies.

My son loved “Eragon”. Have you ever watched the movie because he thought it was awful.

    • I think it helps that a lot of the books I read and review on my blog are more recent releases… But I also haven’t got around to posting about all the ones I have read 😂 I haven’t watched the Eragon movies cos I did hear it was awful too, haha!

      • That’s more or less what I wanted to say. I have been blogging for so long, I have reviewed every book I ever read, once you get to a certain point, you start reviewing books you read ages ago.

And yes, I think you had the right information about “Eragon”. My son only watched the first one and was appalled.

    • I don’t read many classics so I think I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Dorian Gray! I might have to give it a re-read though cos it’s been *ages* since I first picked it up 😂

    • I read it back in high school when I first discovered JP and then endeavoured to devour as many of her books as I could possibly get my hands on 😂 I really wonder what I’d think about it now if I read it again lol

      • I also went through that period, but never came across that one, I think it just wasn’t one that was in the library as that was where I was getting most of my books from at the time. I wonder that about a lot of books I read in the past tbh!

    • I read the first book in the Paper Magician series and remember loving it and I don’t know why I never finished it. It’s on my list of series to get through though and I can’t wait to check it out since I read one of her more recent duos last year and really enjoyed it! 😃

  3. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is one of my ALL_TIME favorite series!! It’s so brilliant once you get past the first like 150 pages of the first book. haha. I was so bummed when they didn’t finish the movies! I haven’t read Dorian Grey but want to.

    • I remember close to nothing about it now but I do remember devouring the books when I first got my hands on them and I loved them so much! I think I also really liked the adaptation cos Daniel Craig *wiggles eyebrows* 😂 I was bummed they didn’t continue it either!

      • That happens so much with books now. I think it’s because we devour them so fast and so many books?? Yes, Daniel Craig was brilliant in that for many reasons! haha.

    • I read Tenth Circle so long ago when I was in HS so I remember close to nothing about it now. A few others have mentioned that it wasn’t their fave and I’m tempted to re-read it asap to see what I think of it now 😂

  4. Loved Girl With the Dragon Tattoo! But it has been years since I read it. Someday I’d like to do a reread. 🙂
