Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve managed to finish six books. They were all romances, mostly holiday ones, and I loved almost all of them!

Homecoming King (Three Kings #1) by Penny Reid ★★★★☆
I wanted more the minute this book ended! I was hooked from the very first page and I loved Rex and Abby together. The sexual tension and (mutual) pining was intense! 🥵 I was sad Rex didn’t get a POV because that would’ve made it a solid 5-star read for me but I couldn’t be happier with their slightly cheesy but adorable HEA. RTC
Dipped in Holly by Dana Isaly ★★★★☆
Isaly delivers with a very steamy and kinky age-gap romance that admittedly had me hooked from the beginning. Even though there’s very limited character development, I really liked Nick & Holly together and I wouldn’t be mad reading more about them? If you’re looking for a fun and fast little holiday romance with a whole lot of steam, I’d recommend checking this out! RTC
The Plight Before Christmas by Kate Stewart ★★★★☆
I didn’t realise this was by Kate Stewart until I got to the end and then I realised why I enjoyed it so much! I’m so glad Deanna recommend this to me 😊 Eli and Whitney go through one helluva heartwrenching romance full of angst and pining and I couldn’t be happier that they got the HEA they deserved. Plus, I absolutely adored the Collins family 🥰 RTC
Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert ★★★☆☆
Sadly, this one was a bit of a miss for me. I enjoyed the characters for the most part but the classic Hibbert spark was missing! There was some cute banter but there were too many hot/cold (very cold) moments between the H/h that didn’t work for me. It was a bit long for a novella as well so I’m disappointed that the characters didn’t get the development I think they deserved. RTC
Twelve Naughty Days (Anthology) by K.A. Linde ★★★★☆
This anthology was delightfully steamy, slightly kinky and moderately taboo and I really enjoyed more than half of the stories—which I consider a win for me! I’ve been meaning to try some of these authors and I’m even more eager to check out their full-length novels asap! RTC
Krampus and the Crone (Horned Holidays #1) by Honey Phillips ★★★☆☆
I was curious about this cos I wanted to know how something as scary as Krampus could be made sexy. Phillips didn’t do a bad job of turning Krampus into a kind-hearted albeit very serious alien who fell for an ostracized witch and who took a pair of siblings away from an unhappy home situation. Though I didn’t feel attached to either H/h I liked how the author twisted Krampus lore!

I’m currently reading Before Girl by Kate Canterbary and I’m kinda sad to say I’m struggling. I love a romance where the hero falls first and pines deeply for the heroine but I’m also finding both H/h’s personalities slightly too chaotic for me? I sadly haven’t connected with them and I’m tempted to DNF… But I’ve also spent all day speed reading hoping it’ll get better and don’t want to lose all that time I invested. I might just skim the rest? Not sure! 😅
To be continued… Eventually!

In other unsurprising news, I still haven’t touched Warbreaker (@ 53%), Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections (@ 30%) 🙈… I’ll get around to finishing these eventually… LOL

Anything is possible, especially in my current mood! 😂

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading! 😍

I’ve heard so many things about Warbreaker. I love Sanderson and figure I’ll get to it someday. hahaha! It’s so hard with chunky books bc I can read like 3 other books in that time. lol! I hope you have a great week and a Happy New Year, Dini!! ❤

I’ve only read Mistborn by Sanderson but I was really enjoying Warbreaker when I was reading it. I really need to get back to it lol but I might have to start from the beginning again 😆 I’m glad I don’t know how chunky it is cos I’m reading it on Kindle, which makes it easier to speed through! LOL! I hope you have a great week and Happy New Year to you as well, Leslie! ❤️

I’m so fond of reading chunky books on the kindle FOR that reason! LOL! I love his writing but always push them because of the size. I need to at least finish the original Mistborn trilogy!!

Ooh, yes! I read the Mistborn trilogy but I read it ages ago before I started reviewing and hardly remember details. I was hoping to re-read it next year (with my re-read project lol)… Maybe it can be a buddy read later on in the year?! 😂

Yay! I’m glad I got you reading The Plight Before Christmas and that you liked it. You got me moving Homecoming King up my list. I read it last week and loved it. I also liked Isaly’s novella. I wish you were having a better time with Before Girl. I liked it a lot, but I’ve read all of her books.

Thanks so much for recommending it! I’m gutted the next book in the Three Kings books is only out next Christmas (and the next one after that is the following Christmas T_T)! I’m also sad that I didn’t enjoy Canterbary’s book cos I thought I’d love it… I still have one more of her books to check out on my TBR and I’m hoping I’ll like that one more!

Yay! I hope you like it as much as I did. There was just something about the push and pull between Shannon and Will. Plus, text messages.

I read The Plight Before Christmas on a whim! I was scouring kindle unlimited and thought the cover looked like it would be a fun Christmas story and I loved the Collins family! I enjoyed the story a lot – I’ll read Homecoming King and Dipped in Holly for next Christmas. 🙂

Yay! I’m so glad that you loved it too 😃 I would’ve missed that if Deanna hadn’t rec’d it to me! Good idea to wait on Homecoming King cos the next book is out next Christmas (the wait, it’s so long T_T welp lol)!

I finished it this morning and I’m kinda sad that I didn’t love it either. I have another of her books on my TBR (cos they’re on KU) so I’m hoping it’ll work better for me… Are the Walsh books a series?

The Walsh books are a companion series. One for each sibling in that complicated family. I loved it.
